CPH Flames co-owner: There are offers on the team
Copenhagen Flames have impressed everybody at the PGL Major, but soon the roster could be on the move.
They came extremely close to making a huge upset at the PGL Major in Stockholm taking Ninjas in Pyjamas all the way in a three-map thriller, before being knocked out of the Major as the last team before the Champions Stage.
Sunday Copenhagen Flames were back in Stockholm to perform at the showmatch before the Grand Final. A nice pat on the back from the Organizers towards the Danes, who can look back at a crazy month, where the team qualified for the Major out of nowhere and broke into the top 10 ranking in the World with some impressive Counter-Strike. Something that has not gone unnoticed.
- There are offers on the team. There are several teams interested in signing the guys, co-owner of Copenhagen Flames, Daniel Vorborg confirmed to Pley.gg after the showmatch.
For Copenhagen Flames the sudden rise to fame has taken the Organization by surprise.
- The plan was to keep these guys for a long time, but they were too good too fast. The value of the players has probably quadrupled over the past six weeks, so it is hard for us to scale our business together with the value of the team, Daniel Vorborg explained.
Despite the big interest from other teams, it is still a priority to try and keep the roster together under the Copenhagen Flames banner.
- We will also try to put out an offer for them to stay and to extend their contracts. But it is still very early, and right now we are figuring everything out, and we will see what happens.
