blameF: I always feel I have to frag a lot
Do Astralis rely too much on the former Complexity star?
Benjamin “blameF” Bremer has a lot of responsibility on his shoulders, with the strong rifler having been by far the best player on Astralis throughout the entire year. His job did not become any easier when it was announced that his partner in crime Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke was to be sidelined due to an ankle injury, which he suffered during ESL Pro League Season 16.
The absence of k0nfig has meant that blameF is being forced to be more aggressive on the server, blameF explained in a post-match interview with ESL this Wednesday.
- I always feel like I have to frag a lot. But now I try to do a lot more aggressive stuff, and I feel like I’m going for all the entries that I can all the time – so other people don’t have to do it. That’s at least what I’m trying to do. I feel like I have done a lot of entries today and yesterday. I try to do that to take some of the burden off my teammates because obviously, k0nfig was doing a lot of aggressive stuff.

Levels above his teammates
If you look at the numbers from the last six months, it’s indisputable which Astralis member is the most powerful and efficient. blameF tops nearly every statistic where his average rating of 1.25 is levels above the rest, making the Danish squad look a lot like a one-trick pony on the server.

blameF: 1.25 Rating / 87.4 ADR / 2280 Total kills
k0nfig: 1.06 Rating / 77.8 ADR / 2031 Total kills

Fighting to secure a Major spot
blameF and Astralis are currently competing in the European RMR at IEM Road to Rio, where they are hoping to secure a prestigious ticket to the Rio Major later this month. The Danes are currently on a 1-1 record after beating Eternal Fire today and losing to Ninjas in Pyjamas on Tuesday. They will play their next matchup tomorrow.
