Astralis win Group A at BLAST Fall Groups
The Danes managed to turn a bad start into a victory parade.
Despite losing their opening game against Ninjas in Pyjamas, Astralis won Group A at BLAST Fall Groups after three straight victories.
On Overpass the two Astralis stars Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke and Benjamin "blameF" Bremer were struggling to make an impact for the Danes, but against OG and then NIP again in the lower bracket, the two former Complexity players showed their worth.
Meanwhile, the new Vitality roster had gotten off to an excellent start beating both OG and NIP before the Group Final against Astralis.
Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut had been on fire during the first two matches, but in the Group Final, it was Magisk and dupreeh who had to carry the European team. On Mirage the match went all the way into overtime before Astralis finally managed to complete the comeback from their loss in the opening round to win Group A and qualify for round 3 of the playoffs.
