Astralis victory takes OG to the lower bracket
Astralis won 2-0 in an impressive victory over OG, and the Danish team will continue in the upper bracket of the Flashpoint 3.
After a great start for OG, where they won four of the first five rounds as the T side we began to see Astralis from their best side.
The Danish team was leading 10-5 after the first half, after an impressive defense on Inferno as the CT side. But as you know Inferno is dominated by the CT side, and OG fought their way back on the map with a 10-5 victory as the CT side as well.
The map, therefore, ended in overtime where Astralis and especially Xyp9x showed some great gameplay in the extra rounds.
Astralis ended up winning the overtime 7-4 and ultimately the map by 22-19 against a strong OG side.
The second map was played on Nuke a map where the two teams both are strong.
Astralis got the best start possible and they were leading 8-1 after the first nine rounds as the T side, a fantastic start for the Danish team with Magisk in top form.
But yet again OG fought their way back in the map and made the half compatible as the half-time score ended up being 9-6 before the two sides shifted teams.
After the team change for the two sides, where Astralis became the CT side they dominated the map until they hit 15-7, and it seemed like they began to let loose on the speeder.
But Astralis managed to win the map 16-11 after a great match especially as the CT side, where they really showed great understanding in the defense.
OG couldn't get themselves in the game even with flameZ in top form, which earned him the spot as the man of the match in the defeat.
