Astralis take down Complexity and secure spot in winners’ match
Astralis set themselves up with a first with a first-time meeting against BIG in 2020 after defeating Complexity 2-0 in the opening match.
The Danes from Astralis destroyed their fellow countrymen on the Complexity squad and ottoNd’s debut in a dominant 2-0 victory on Dust2 (16-7) and Overpass (16-11). Both teams will play again tomorrow in IEM Global Challenge, where Astralis have set them up to face BIG in the winners’ match, while Complexity will be facing of worlds no. #1 in an elimination game.
On the first map, Dust2, the Finnish stand-in didn’t manage to find his right footing as device and company multiple times outplayed the Complexity squad who seemed to be on thin ice. Neither on the second map of the series could ottoNd make a difference or truly challenge Astralis because of device completely dominant performance, that saw the Danish squad come out on top.
device finished the game on top of the scoreboards, delivering a rating of 1.59, 98.9 ADR, and a 47-27 score that led his team to victory and saved them from an elimination game.
