Astralis steamrolls Bad News Bears
The Danes were on another level against the NA team.
Bad News Bears was deemed the big underdogs going into Group A of ESL Pro League. The North American team had made it clear beforehand, that they saw the tournament as a learning experience towards elevating their own game for the future.
For the third day in a row, Bad News Bears was taught a lesson by a European adversary. This time it was Astralis, who had absolutely no problem controlling their opponents. A flawless showing from the Danes saw them winning Inferno 16-4.
On Nuke the playing field was much more even. It seemed like BNB felt much more comfortable, and finally, we got to see some of the great talents on the roster. A good first half ended 8-7 in favor of Bad News Bears. But after the break, it was showtime for one of the best riflers in the game. Peter 'dupreeh' Rasmussen was absolutely ruthless and destroyed any hope for BNB to secure their first map of the tournament with a stellar performance. The four-time Major winner dropped 29 kills during the fight on the nuclear ground that ended with a 16-13 win for Astralis.
Astralis is now on six points in Group A, and will probably need to either beat Team Vitality or Heroic in the upcoming fixtures to make it through. Bad News Bears needs two victories and some lucky results in other matches to qualify for the next stage.
