Astralis sign promising AWPer
The Counter-Strike heavy-hitters have made their first off-season signing in Philip “Lucky” Ewald.
The Danish CS:GO titans from Astralis has added a new player to their roster, as they sign Philip “Lucky” Ewald on a transfer from Tricked. The addition of the 18-year-old Dane will be a breath of fresh air at the Astralis camp, after several rumours of transfer and roster moves.
- Philip is a young player who has shown immense potential. He has not been tested at a top-level yet so it wouldn’t be fair to him or the team to compare him to anybody else, however, he has a lot of what we have been looking for and we have a strong belief, he will demonstrate his skills from the get-go, Director of Sports, Kasper Hvidt states.
- I have a lot to learn at Astralis. From their extensive playbook to everything going on outside the game. It will be a new feeling to be at a place where people have strong opinions about everything, we do, but I’m super excited to get started. Most of all I want to show the many Astralis fans that I’ll give it everything to help the team and my teammates.
I know some people are going to compare me to ‘dev1ce’ but no one can do what he does. I hope I’ll be able to show who I am, though, and I will work hard to contribute to the team in my own way, Lucky says in a statement from Astralis.
