The French quartet of Lucas "Lucky" Chastang, Bryan "Maka" Canda, Thomas "Djoko⁠" Pavoni, and Pierre "Ex3rcice⁠" Bulinge have played their last match for HEET with all four players entering free agency, Ex3rcice reveals on Twitter.

Something all of their Twitter biographies also confirms. The Belgian organization haven’t published any official information yet.

HEET entered Counter-Strike last year when the Belgians acquired the cult roster of Double Poney consisting of Lucky, Djoko, Ex3rcice, and Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro, and Aurélien “afro” Drapier. The latter two left the team in early 2023 to join Falcons and LDLC, respectively.

Philip “Lucky” Ewald pulled off an incredible 1v5 clutch on the map Nuke during a recent match.

The clutch, which occurred during the match between Tricked and Aurora, has been making waves in the world of CS:GO, with many praising Lucky’s skill and quick thinking. The match was intense from the start, with both teams giving it their all. However, it was Lucky who stole the show early on with his 1v5 clutch. With all of his teammates down, spectating him, Lucky managed to take out all five of the opposing team’s players, securing the first round for his team.

If you take a closer look into why it never ended up working as good for the Astralis team. Playing in "Big events" was probably the reason behind Lucky´s poor performance. At the time after covid, Lucky played some big events doing his time as Astralis, which was where the young AWPer didn't manage to step up his game. Doing these big events, the Dane was averaging 0.91 Rating / 0.59 kills per round / 59.9 ADR. Astralis hoped to get a young and fresh AWPer who wanted to take initiative, but back then Lucky still had some stage fear and nervousness.

Since Philip "Lucky" Ewald joined his old team Tricked back in July 2022, the young AWPer has produced some good stats over the past 3 months. Lucky is currently averaging 1.14 Rating /0.73 Rating / 74.7 ADR. The Dane was after all glad, to be back at Tricked, where he feels like he belongs.

The Danish organization, Tricked, has announced the return of Philip “Lucky” Ewald, who played over 250 maps under the Tricked banner before leaving back in August 2021. Lucky, who is 19 years old will reunite with three of his old teammates in Oliver “kwezz” Rasmussen, Andreas “kiR” Kirstein, and Mathias “PR1mE” Carlsen, who haven’t had an AWPer in their roster since Sebastian “Larsen” Larsen was moved to the bench in May.

“After being in a place where it was very turbulent and at times chaotic with many replacements on the team, it’s very nice to be back in a place where you know you feel at home and where you know how things work. The ambition with Tricked is definitely to get back to where it is fun – here I hope that I can provide the last push in that direction,”

The Danish organization is also very happy to welcome back Lucky, where it is especially his firepower that the team is looking forward to seeing once again.

“It’s a great feeling to be able to welcome Lucky back after his trip to Astralis. Unfortunately, he did not get the stay he and we wanted for him, but we have at no time lost faith in his enormous talent. The team has clearly lacked some of his qualities and firepower since the sale last year, so the joy of reunion is great. Astralis

Astralis have qualified for every Major since 2016 when the Danish Organization was founded. Today came close to being the first time of missing out. But when it mattered the most, the Danes regained composure and kept their heads cool.

Both teams were 2-2 before the final decider match, where the winner would advance to the Antwerp Major, while the loser would be out.

On Dust2 the match started well for the Danes taking a 10-5 lead to the break. But on their T-side everything went wrong. It was the French "Lucky", Lucas 'Lucky' Chastang that took control in the second half, where HEET turned the match upside down and won Dust2 16-13.

Ancient has been Astralis-territory lately. The Danes have quickly mastered the newest map in the map pool, and are considered some of the best in the world on the map. With seven T-sides on the board, the Danes just needed to deliver their usual potent CT side to force the match to overtime. But HEET was not done making an impact, and at 14-11 in favor of the Frenchmen, it looked like a gigantic sensation was underway. But then this happened.

Farlig's ace kickstarted the Danes who avoided the upset on Ancient to keep the Major dream alive.

It was hard not to feel sorry for the Frenchmen, who lost the chance of their life to upset one of the biggest Organizations in one of the most important matches in their career. They still had the chance on Nuke though, but quickly it was evident, that the underdogs had lost the momentum, that had kept them in contention so long. Astralis cleaned out on their CT-side taking a monumental 11-4 lead to the second half. After a tech pause, the Danes finished off HEET despite a valiant effort from the underdogs. The Danes locked in their Major spot with a 16-11 win on Nuke, with Asger "farlig" Jensen again delivering the needed impact. The Danes become the last team to qualify for the PGL Antwerp Major that takes place next month.

There have been many questions raised in regards to the AWP'ing role within the new-look Astralis roster. After void that "device" left behind when joining NiP, "Lucky" was brought into the roster as the primary AWP'er - at least we thought. At the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021, it has been the Astralis IGL in "gla1ve" to wield the "big green" and not "Lucky". Instead, he has been doing his job as a rifler and often with multi-kills as a result. 

When facing FaZe in yesterday's Bo3-series, "Lucky" was left all alone to defend the B-bombsite of Mirage. Whilst it can be very difficult to take multiple opponents that all face you from different angles, "Lucky" made it happen. Maneuvering around the "bench" spot, he took down his first three opponents and proceeded to finish the round with a push on the final player. Take a look at how "Lucky" made a 4K clutch look easy:

There is under 24 hours before the BLAST Premier Fall Final event kicks off in Copenhagen. A $425,000 prize pool is up for grabs and the winner of the event will earn a spot at the World Final in December where $1,000,000 will be on the line.

After some disappointing results and a 12-14th place elimination at PGL Major Stockholm, Astralis announced the addition of former Complexity duo Benjamin “blameF” Bremer and Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke to their lineup on November 4 in place of Peter “dupreeh” Rasmussen and Emil “Magisk” Reif, while Alexander “ave” Holdt took over as the new head coach instead of Danny “zonic” Sørensen.  

With an opening match against Ninjas in Pyjamas on the horizon at the BLAST Premier Fall Finals event in Copenhagen, we sat down with Astralis’ Benjamin “blameF” Bremer to talk about his expectations for the new roster, a fully packed Royal Arena, his new role, and much more. 

You have just joined Astralis, one of the biggest Counter-Strike teams in the world. How is it playing for such a big team? 

I think it’s amazing so far. I’ve received a warm welcome from the team and the entire organization, even a lot of fans have been writing to me saying they are going to cheer for us in Astralis as well. So, that’s just amazing. So far, it’s been very great.

People talk a lot about those ‘honeymoon’ periods, but we’ll see what is going to happen. 

Astralis also brought in k0nfig. Was it something that meant a lot for you to get k0nfig on the same team as you? 

Definitely. I told k0nfig very early at Complexity that I would like to play with him forever because he’s the best teammate I’ve ever had probably. In the sense that his attitude is straight, his individual skills are probably one of the highest in the world, and the way his playstyle works it’s just very aggressive and creates a lot of space for other teammates. It’s just a nice player to play with and I told Astralis as well, that if they want to have me in the lineup, they should consider bringing in k0nfig too because he’s going to make me want to join even more.

Can you try to explain what you and k0nfig as a duo bring to the table at Astralis?  

I think we bring a lot of attitude. Maybe the old roster was going into some old habits or something like that. Maybe they needed a bit of fresh energy and I think that’s what we’re coming with. And then, of course, we bring some firepower. They also had a lot of firepower in the old roster as well with Magisk and dupreeh, who are really talented players. But I think me and k0nfig are two Danish players who can equalize on that or maybe even elevate as well. 

How have the first weeks been with the team? Has it been tough to adapt to new strategies, different playstyles, and fit into a new team? 

I think the toughest part for me right now is that I’m still thinking a lot as an IGL when stuff happens on the server. I immediately think what we should do as a team. I need to stop thinking like that and start to reflect on what I’m going to do as an individual. That’s been the toughest part for me so far.

I feel like I’m pretty good at remembering all the strats. I’m always writing everything down and studying them at night. So, I don’t think that’s too much of a problem. Maybe it’s been a little rough to learn all the new spot names they have on the maps because we obviously had a lot of other spot names in English at Complexity. 

You said it yourself, you’re not the IGL anymore. Which role will you take on at Astralis? 

Hopefully, I’m going to shoot some people in the head and be a better individual player than I was before. I don’t think it is as black and white at Astralis that you have a specific role kind of thing, I feel like I’m one of the riflers who is going to create some space for the team and I feel like I have some okay roles to make opportunities for the team on the server. So, that’s what I’m going to try and do. 

You and Astralis are going up against NiP in your first matchup here at BLAST Finals. What do you expect from that matchup? 

I think it’s hard to say what we expect because we haven’t played any officials. So obviously, we don’t know how well we can play yet. We haven’t had that much time to practice, but I think we have a great team and the opportunity to make an upset. I believe it’s okay for us to have big expectations because I think we can do well, but we’re also okay with not doing well. I would be all right with them beating us as they have had more time as a team than us, but I do believe the potential is there for an upset. 

At the event, you will play at home soil in front of a fully packed Royal Arena. It’s that something you’ve been looking forward to? 

Yeah, for sure. I think playing in front of a home crowd is a big thing in and with 12.000 people in the Arena, it’s going to be an amazing experience. So yes, I’m looking very forward to it.

After failing to defend their Major title following an early exit at the PGL Stockholm Major, Astralis have decided to move forward with 3 new signings and roster changes. 

Following their struggles to find success in Complexity, Benjamin "blameF" Bremer and Krisitian "k0nfig" Wienecke are set to join Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander and Philip "Lucky" Ewald on the server to play under the Astralis banner. They will be taking the spots left behind by Peter "dupreeh" Rasmussen and Emil "Magisk" Reif who will be leaving once their contracts expire in January 2022. 

The organization has also decided to part ways with head coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen. In his place, Astralis have signed Ex North coach, Alexander "ave" Holdt to take over head coaching duties. 

With these departures, the era of one of the most successful CS:GO cores have come to an end. 

This new roster will be on display for the first time at the Royal Arena for the BLAST Premier Fall Final.

Nicolai “device” Reedtz has just made history by beating his former teammates at Astralis 16-1 in their first ever matchup!

Ninjas in Pyjamas sent Astralis to the 1-1 pool after completely demolishing them on Inferno. device and the rest of NiP continued their excellent form, building on their win over Dexter’s MOUZ earlier today to secure themselves a spot in the 2-0 pool and leave them just one victory away from qualifying for the playoffs.

The beginning of the game was affected by technical issues when the score was 4-0 in NiP’s favor. But even after the long break, the Swedish side still stayed in control of the game with everyone stepping up to end the first half with an unbelievable 14-1 advantage. The Swedish squad weren’t looking to waste any time as they went on to quickly close the map by winning the two remaining rounds.

The only round Astralis managed to add to the scoreboard was secured by their newest member, Philip “Lucky” Ewald, who pulled of a 1v3 clutch in hopes to inspire a comeback.

Yesterday, Lucky and the rest of Astralis got off to a flying start at BLAST Premier Fall Groups, as they eased past Evil Geniuses in the opening round in Group A. A match, where the temporary IGL in Emil “Magisk” Reif led the team from the front, presenting a stellar 1.69 Rating throughout the series.

-The mood on the team is very great right now - Everyone is happy, Lucky said to the desk and continues:

Magisk is calling right now and he has to get used to that again. But I think he’s doing a phenomenal job, and that just makes it so much easier for the rest of the team to do our job. When he basically 1v5’s them, then it’s pretty easy to play with.

Astralis has to do without their important in-game leader Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander at BLAST Premier Fall Groups, the 26-year-old Dane confirms on Twitter. The decision not to play comes after a wish for gla1ve to experience the birth of him and his partners' first child, who is set to be born this month.

- I really don’t want to miss the experience of my first child getting born, and it means everything to me that it’s also something the organization and my teammates wants for me. It is no secret, I really want to play, but I also didn’t want to put the team in a position where they had to change a player while the tournament was going on. That would create much more confusion … , gla1ve states on Twitter.

Together with Danny, I am doing everything I can to prepare and help the team get ready to BLAST Premier Fall Groups. I will be by their side all the way. I believe in my team.

The replacement will be Andreas "Xyp9x" Højsleth, who was moved to the bench before the start of ESL Pro League Season 14. At that time the 'Clutch Minister' was substituted with Astralis' latest addition Phillip "Lucky" Ewald.

Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander and the rest of Astralis got off to a flying start at ESL Pro League Season 14 when they yesterday defeated Spirit 2-1 in the opening round. However, the biggest talking points surrounding the Astralis camp aren’t from inside the server.

Moments before the start of EPL, Astralis’ long-standing member Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth went out saying that he was considering his future with the Danes. Afterwards, it came out that Xyp9x was being removed from the starting five, as the newcomer Phillip “Lucky” Ewald took up his place.

In the post-match interview with ESL, gla1ve gave his perception of the situation and why they choose to bring in Lucky.

The Astralis IGL was asked what he and zonic (Head Coach) were doing to strengthen the motivation, where he stated “... our current motivation isn’t the same as back then, but we are doing a pretty good job of keeping the motivation as high as possible.

The superstar player said that he’s assessing his opportunities and “now is a great opportunity to look around, see my options, and see what the future brings”.

Xyp9x also touched on the current state of Astralis and how much the departure of Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz meant for the Danes. The 25-year-old rifler believes that the shock exit by the device was what lead to the downfall of a historic era by the Astralis side.

Xyp9x's days at Astralis are maybe over sooner than later.

DBL PONEY was on everyone’s lips last week when they managed to do the impossible by taking down the superstars from Vitality at Flashpoint 3. In the sense of their countrymen from Vitality being the French flagship in CS:GO and possessing the prodigy Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut, the defeat was highly astounding for the CS:GO world.

The mind behind DBL PONEY: Alexandre “bodyy” Pianaro

With JaCkz on board and bodyy at the helm, DBL PONEY went on to display strong performances at different cash cups, winning one and ending 2nd in two. The Frenchmen continued their great form at the lower-ranked event ofFantasyexpo Spring, where they managed to beat strong Top 30 teams in Sprout and mousesports  - Just to lose in the Grand Final against a likewise profiled Endpoint.

Their first real taste of tier-1 CS:GO was at the closed qualifiers at Flashpoint 3 at the end of March. Despite being among much stronger and established teams, the dark horses from DBL PONEY didn’t bow down anyone. Quite the contrary in fact. bodyy and company ended up taking a spot at the main event, in front of the likes of ENCE, Endpoint, and HAVU.

A ticket, they converted into the astounding victory vs Vitality in the opening round of Flashpoint 3, which could be seen as the culmination of their hard work and dedication throughout the last 3 months.

DBL PONEY

After being benched at his former team OG, Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt stepped in to help the French team DBL Poney. Initially, the French rifler had stated the three closed qualifiers would be the extent to which he would play for DBL Poney. This, however, isn't the case as it has now been announced that he is going to be participating alongside DBL Poney at the Flashpoint 3 event. 

DBL Poney is set to begin their Flashpoint 3 journey on May 10 where they will fight in a French derby against Vitality in their opening round. DBL Poney has expressed their gratitude towards the agreement that "NBK-" was allowed to be playing for them at the upcoming event: 

"DBL PONEY has received confirmation that Nathan is eligible to play the competition with the team. We would like to thank NBK as well as OG, his agent, Valve, Flashpoint, and all the people who helped this tale continue for some time. Thanks also to the community that has been so supportive over the past few weeks."

They are the big story of the day. DBL Poney, a newly formed French roster with only 20 days as a team, has qualified for the playoff stage at Fantasyexpo Spring Cup, where they now have a real shot at qualifying for BLAST Premier Spring Showdown.

They started the day by winning their opening match against mousesports. They repeated the feat an hour later when they took down the Germans from Sprout. The Frenchmen have the two former G2 players bodyy and Lucky on the roster and have NBK- as their fifth man stand-in. Against Sprout Nathan "NBK-" Schmitt was again among the best on the server proving, that he is still able to make a difference in top-tier Counter-Strike.

Group A will take place today with the four teams fighting for two spots at Thursday's playoff. All of the Group Stage Matches will be played as best of one. In the first match it is mousesports vs DBL Poney from France. The Frenchmen have the two former G2 players bodyy and Lucky on the roster, and have NBK as their fifth man stand-in.
