Astralis qualify for Major with win over Complexity
The iconic Danes are now qualified for the upcoming Major event
The IEM Fall EU event is still in the group stages, where the format is Bo1-series. Whilst they are yet to advance to the playoff stage of the event, a win against Complexity would mean qualification to the upcoming major for the Danish Astralis roster. The brawl between Complexity and Astralis was close and intense, however, ultimately it was clear that the experience of the Danes was the determining factor in getting them the last step across the finish line. At the scoreline of 16-14, it was Astralis to take home the victory and secure major qualification.
The map that would facilitate the Bo1-series between the two teams came to be Nuke. A map that both teams are tried and tested on. The fact that both teams are more than familiar with the map of Nuke showed once it got underway. Both teams seemed eager to take home the victory from start to finish and it was almost impossible to separate the two teams in the first half of Nuke. The second half brought more intense and close battles between the two rosters and with both teams refusing to give their opponents an inch it took all 30 rounds to reach a conclusion. Ultimately it was the Danish boys from Astralis to take home the victory, strengthen their position in the group, and secure qualification for the upcoming major event.
