Astralis promote academy player to main team

The 19-year-old talent will join the likes of device, gla1ve and blameF on the server for the coming weeks.

The Danes from Astralis have announced that they have decided to call up Alexander 'Altekz' Givskov from their academy team Astralis Talent.

The roster change happens only days after Astralis’ huge disappointment at the RMRs where they failed to book a spot at the upcoming Major in Paris next month.

- As a result of Altekz’s consistent, high performance on the talent line-up throughout 2023 and even before, the coaches have decided to include him in the main roster for the coming weeks, Astralis notes in a Tweet.

Whether or not Altekz will replace one of the current Astralis players or get a permanent spot on the main squad, is not known yet out of the information given by Astralis.

Altekz in 2023:

1.15 Rating / 80.7 ADR / 1.13 K-D ratio

As mentioned in the statement by Astralis, Altekz has been a dominant force for Astralis Talent averaging an impressive 1.15 Rating, and also being a key player in their victories in CCT North Europe Season 4 and Power Ligaen Season 22. The teenager was signed by Astralis and put in the academy squad back in March 2021.
