Astralis will not be part of the last CS:GO Major in history
The legendary Danish Organization crashed out of the EU RMR tournament today.
One of the most prolific Organizations in the CS:GO era will not be able to participate in the last ever CS:GO Major in Paris next month.
The Danes lost their third match at the EU RMR tournament in Copenhagen with a clear 2-0 loss to Ninjas in Pyjamas. Before that Astralis had lost against Vitality and Eternal Fire in the tournament.
BLAST.tv Paris Major will be the second Major in a row, that Astralis will miss after failing to qualify for the IEM Rio Major last fall.
The questions will now undoubtedly be asked whether the current lineup should change or not. The return of Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz has definitely solved their AWP issues, while Benjamin "blameF" Bremer has been the other consistent player on the squad. But what about the other players?
There is no doubt that this is a big blow to the otherwise positive start to 2023 from the lineup. With almost a year until the next Major on home turf in Copenhagen, Astralis has the time to reflect on the disappointment and create a team that is competitive enough to take on the biggest teams going forward.
