Astralis defeats Evil Geniuses in Farlig debut
gla1ve and his troops secure a 1-0 start at ESL Pro League Season 15 after confident performance against EG.
The last series of the day at ESL Pro League Season 15 was between Astralis and the North Americans from Evil Geniuses. The matchup marked the debut for Astralis’ new AWPer Asger “Farlig” Jensen, who joined the Danish powerhouse in February this year.
The viewers of the match should not wait long to get some entertainment from the two squads. In the very first round of play, Astralis’ Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke tiptoed his way behind Evil Geniuses’ lines, getting this amusing ninja defuse on the A side.

It was like k0nfig’s ninja defuse had crushed the North Americans and their confidence entirely, as Astralis went up 11-4 on EG’s map pick. After the switch, Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander and his men got things done through a solid T side, winning the first map 16-9.
Astralis concluded the series on Overpass, where they again managed to keep EG short of double digits by handing them a confident 16-8 loss. That means Astralis will join NAVI and their countrymen from Heroic at the top of Group D.
