Astralis bench head coach: More changes to the team will come
The Danes are making moves following their disappointment at the RMRs - and they don't seem to stop as they reveal more changes are set to follow.
For the second time this week, Astralis has announced a roster change within their squad. First, it was Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke being released on Monday, and today it was Martin “trace” Heldt’s turn with the head coach being benched with immediate effect.
In the statement regarding trace, Astralis reveal that “changes and upgrades” will happen “on and around the team”.
More changes will come
Astralis CEO, Anders Hørsholt has given a statement where he reveals the plans for a restructuring of the team both on and around the roster.
In the coming weeks and months, we will work on modernizing and developing the organization around the Counter-Strike team, where our Director of Sports will be looking at all current and potentially new roles and needed upgrades on and around the team.
(…) We must restore clarity in the way we do things, and we must return to a position where we are in the fight for titles and top positions. It won't happen overnight, but the work has begun, says Hørsholt.
