zonic win the award for best coach of the year
The Astralis’ coach has won the title as Best Esports Coach second year in a row by The Game Awards 2020.
Danny “zonic” Sørensen, the coach of Astralis, has been rewarded for his efforts this year. The Danish coach has received the award for “Best Esports Coach of the year” even though the year according to him, hasn’t been as expected for the Danish superstar team.
“We haven’t won the tournaments we wanted this year, but we have worked hard on the inside to get a new set-up with more players in the squad to work accordingly. We have gone a long way, but we still have much more work to do and things we need to improve.”
“I don’t know if I’m going to win that title this year, but just the fact that people acknowledge and see all the hard work we put in means a lot to me and the rest of the team.” zonic said.
The 34-year-old also won the award last year, after a fantastic year for the Danish giants, where the team went on to win both the Katowice and the Berlin Major, registering three consecutive CS:GO Major victories and their fourth overall.
By watching Astralis play, one can notice the chemistry and trust between Zonic and the squad. He is their motivator as well as strategist. Definitely, someone you want to have on your side when under pressure, competing at the biggest tournament.
