Who will win the ultimate reunion?

The BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2023 event is set to kick off with a highly-anticipated matchup between Astralis vs. Team Vitality, dev1ce vs. ZywOo, in the opening game of Group A. The match will be played on LAN in Copenhagen, Denmark, and will be in Bo3 format.

Head-to-head meetings between the two teams have been relatively close, with the Frenchmen from Vitality holding a 14-10 advantage in their 24 matches. It should be noted that Astralis won the last match between the two teams, which took place in October 2022 at the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown Europe, with a score of 12-16, 16-9, and 16-8. However, both teams have made several improvements and changes since then.

Team Vitality enters the matchup with a strong line-up but has yet to realize its full potential. The Frenchmen currently sit outside of the Top 10 HLTV World Ranking and had a disappointing showing at the IEM Rio Major 2022, barely making it past the first stage. They also had an unsuccessful performance at the BLAST Premier World Final 2022, where they only managed to beat NAVI. This should be taken into consideration when predicting Vitality in the upcoming matchup.

Astralis, on the other hand, currently ranks 18th in HLTV’s World Ranking and has had a rough few seasons after dominating the world of CS:GO. The return of device has helped the team a little until now, but we’re yet to see a big improvement considering that the Danish AWPer hasn’t played that much yet. Buzz got into the Astralis roster at the end of 2022, and even though he’s still young and inexperienced in the Tier-1 scene, it will be exciting to see what the 19-year-old Dane will bring to the main team of Astralis.

Generally speaking, it will be exciting to see how the teams fare in this matchup. The game is set to be a close one, and fans can expect an exciting match between these two squads.
