Team Liquid battles out OG in three map thriller

Team Liquid came out on top in the upper bracket clash against OG. The two teams had won their opening match at IEM Katowice Play-in, and could qualify for the main tournament with a win.

Both teams won their opponents map pick by 16-7 and left Nuke as the decider. A perfect setting for the brawl.

At 14-10 in favor of Team Liquid it looked like the match was over, but OG managed to equal the score once again. But in the end the NA team won the last two rounds, which both ended with a 1vs1 situation just to underline how tight the match were.

Team Liquid will advance to the Group stage at IEM Katowice, while OG will need a victory tomorrow against Cloud9 to qualify.
