OG and Sprout fall flat at $50.000 tournament
OG and Sprout are out of the CCT North Europe Series 2.
The playoffs of the CCT North Europe Series 2 kicked-off on Sunday, December 4, with 16 teams that were ready to battle it out for the lion’s share of $50.000 alongside points in the CCT leaderboards.
In the first round of the playoff bracket, nexa’s troops from OG got eliminated following a tough 0-2 loss against HAVU, who now await the winner of forZe vs. Movistar Riders. OG have struggled to get good results for quite some time now, and their next chance will be at the BLAST Premier World Final in Abu Dhabi, UAE, where they will be attending as the lowest-ranked team.
Sprout didn’t fare much better than OG at the tournament as they also got eliminated on the back of a 0-2 loss. They met ECLOT in the Round of 16 and lost their own map pick of Overpass (11-16) before ECLOT took the victory in overtime on Mirage (16-19) to close out the series.
