Russians and former Cloud9-roster are ready for DreamHack Open January
oSee shines for Extra Salt in confident debut, leading his team to their first-ever event.
Yesterday, forZe and the newly established team Extra Salt qualified for the upcoming DreamHack Open January, after winning their respective qualifiers. Due to the ongoing global pandemic and the travel restrictions it has caused, the tournament has, like the most of the event, been divided into regional tournaments, with forZe competing in the European and Extra Salt in the North American.

forZe played with two stand-in’s owing to the absence from Bogdan "xsepower" Chernikov and Dmitriy "facecrack" Alexeev who was out because of personal reasons. Their replacements Eugene Yuryevich "Aunkere" Karyat and Volodymyr "Woro2k" Veletniuk helped the rest of the team, in a dominant showing at the European qualifier by winning both matches against Anonymo and HellRaisers, without giving up a single map.

Back in mid-December Extra Salt announced the signing of the former Cloud9 roster, featuring the profiled duo Johnny "JT" Theodosiou and Josh "oSee" Ohm. It was especially the latter, who showed up huge last night for his new team. oSee ruled the server from the very beginning, with the powerful AWPer putting up strong numbers and securing his team their first-ever tournament.
