Riocentro erupts as FURIA completes miracle comeback!
FURIA came back from 2-11 to win against Spirit.
It is safe to say, that you don’t just have to face FURIA, when going head-to-head with the Brazilians on the server at IEM Rio. You also have to handle the pressure from more than 4000 spectators cheering their countrymen to victory. A fact that Team Spirit had to realize today in Rio.
Against FURIA it was all Team Spirit in the first 13 rounds. An 11-2 lead was established after a stellar CT side. But then things took a drastic turn. Spearheaded by the youngster André "drop" Abreu and Kaike “kscerato” Cerato, FURIA started an incredible comeback. At 14-13, FURIA went ahead while the home crowd went completely amok.
Team Spirit was shell-shocked and did not manage to recover. FURIA completed the comeback and won the match and probably all the remaining hearts in Riocentro, that weren't already on the "FURIA" bandwagon. The Brazilians are now 2-0 up and are now one win away from playing in the playoffs next week.
