OG eliminate Astralis after strong showing
device and company are out BLAST Premier Spring Showdown after only one match.
The Danish superstar team Astralis continue their current slump as they today suffered a devasting 2-0 defeat against OG at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown. The sweep means that Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander and his troops have been eliminated from the event.
Astralis tried to surprise OG at the start of the match by adding Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen to the server instead of Andreas “Xyp9x” Højsleth. The move astounded casters, fans, and maybe also OG. However, Bubzkji and Astralis didn’t manage to display a consistent level of CS, as OG steamrolled over the Danes on Inferno.
On Astralis’ map pick on Dust2, gla1ve and co. had their back to the wall with an early exit hanging over their heads. Astralis succeeded to set up a solid T-side which gave them a favourable 8-7 lead before the switch. Despite the improvement from Astralis, the second half and the OT belonged to OG and their debutant Shahar “flameZ” Shushan, who outclassed Astralis by taking the second map 19-17.
