No device for Astralis before 2023
The returned AWP'er will not play at the upcoming Elisa Masters Espoo tournament.
With only one tournament left for Astralis in 2022, fans had probably looked forward to seeing Nicolai "device" Reedtz back in the Astralis jersey.
But that will not happen. Astralis just announced the lineup for the $200.000 LAN tournament in Helsinki starting the 16th of November.
In the announcement, Kasper Hvidt, Director of Sports commented on the discussion to not rush device into the Astralis lineup.
- In regards to Nicolai “dev1ce”, I am very pleased to see how he has immediately become a central part of the team, contributing with everything we hoped for. His game sense, skills and pure personality has been very obvious from day one, but even though we’re all eager for him to play his first tournament, as we mentioned when we signed him, we have time to do things right without forcing anything. It is all about creating room for the best version of “dev1ce” we have seen.
In his place, the young academy player Kristoffer “kristou” Aamand will take the role of AWP'er on the team.
- Kristoffer is a very talented player who, despite his young age, has brought in a lot of experience to our talent roster. Since his arrival, he has continuously performed on a high level, and the chance to play for the main team is well deserved, Kasper Hvidt says.
ENCE, Fnatic, MOUZ, BIG, and Complexity are some of the other teams participating in the Elisa Masters Espoo tournament.
