Movistar Riders take first victory at EPL

The second match of the day saw the Brazilians of GODSENT take on the Spanish squad of Movistar Riders. GODSENT had added "HEN1" less than 24 hours before the match, while the Movistar Riders had played together for about seven months.

To kick off the action Movistar Riders chose to play Nuke, and they had a very good T-side to start the game. The Spanish players seemed to be a step ahead of their Brazilian opponents during the first fifteen rounds of play, but GODSENT never gave up and managed to give themselves a chance in the game with six rounds at halftime.
Despite the semi-close scoreline at the break, the game ended anything but that. Movistar Riders absolutely crushed the Brazilians in the second half of play and took the victory at 16-6.

The fighting continued on Ancient where the Spanish squad got off to a great start on their CT-side. They quickly went up 8-3, and “dav1g” had a great time with several multi-kill rounds. The half ended on a good note for the side of GODSENT, as they took three of the last four rounds before halftime.
GODSENT capitalized on their momentum from the end of the first half, as they won nine rounds in a row to start the second half. It wasn’t without any challenges though, as the Spaniards got bomb plants in six of those rounds. GODSENT won their map pick at 16-11.

To end the series the teams had to battle it out on the most played map in CS:GO: Mirage. Just like the previous two maps it was the Movistar Riders that were in the best position after 15 rounds. “alex” and “dav1g” went off the rails on the CT-side, and effectively shut down the offense of GODSENT, resulting in a 10-5 half.
The Spanish roster kept up the pace after switching sides, and they soon found themselves with seven map- and match points. The Movistar Riders squandered their first four chances to end it, but the fifth time was the charm, and they took Mirage 16-12.
