K0nfig: "I think it is the right decision to let gla1ve AWP"
New Astralis signing explains why "Lucky" wasn't wielding the AWP in yesterday's victory
With the new additions of "blameF" and "k0nfig" the new-look Astralis roster is beginning to take shape. Before the two most recent additions it was Philip "Lucky" Ewald to have been picked up by the organization as the roster's new AWP'er. Attempting to fill in the void that "device" left behind when joining the Swedish Ninjas in Pyjamas is by no means an easy task and it still seems as if "Lucky" is finding his footing within the organization.
This perhaps came to show when Astralis faced NiP in their first Bo3-series at the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021 event in Copenhagen. Surprisingly it wasn't "Lucky" who was swinging the "big green" but instead "gla1ve". When asked about the AWP'ing situation within the Astralis roster after the Bo3-series, "k0nfig" said the following:
"He likes to AK, he likes to M4. He picks up the AWP sometimes, he does it in practice. I think he is pretty comfortable with playing bombsites with me as well, on Nuke for example, and playing Overpass with M4, so I think it is the right decision to let gla1ve AWP"
Whether or not we will get to see "Lucky" wielding the AWP or not when locking horns with Vitality is yet to be known. You can follow along with Bo3-series as it is currently LIVE:
