Gen.G in a huge upset against OG
The revitalized Gen.G made a shock entrance in Flashpoint 2 dismantling OG.
“I am really shocked,” The words from commentator Anders Blume said it all. OG is on a three-match loss-streak after a disappointing effort against Gen.G.
The disbelief was real after the first map on Train, where Gen.G ran away with a 16-5 victory. Having played their last game in September, and playing with two stand-ins, the expectations for the North American team were low.
But while OG struggled all the way on Train, stand-in Rasmus “kreaz” Johansson made a brilliant debut scoring +10 in K/D-ratio and making clutches like this.
Despite losing big on Train, the odds were still in OG’s favor before the two teams headed out on Dust2. Again OG was having a hard time. On their T-side, they went behind 1-7. Gen.G was constantly in command, and especially Kenneth "koosta" Suen was running the show on both Train and Dust2.
Gen.G finished the match with a 16-10 win and is ready for an exciting match against Virtus.pro in the upper bracket final on Sunday. OG will face Cloud9 in the lower bracket.
