FURIA demolish NiP in junior’s debut
The Brazilian squad won their first official match with junior in the line-up and send the Swedish Ninjas down to the lower bracket.
FURIA have secured a spot in the upper semi-finals following a convincing victory over the Swedish Ninjas in their opening match and junior’s debut. While NiP will compete in the lower bracket on Saturday against the loser of NAVI vs Virtus.pro, FURIA will face off against the winner for a spot in the upper final in Group B.

The action started on NiP’s pick of Overpass where the Swedes were off to the best start by taking an early 0-5 lead. As soon as FURIA started to get their economy rolling, the Brazilian-side managed to string together 10 rounds in a row to finish off their CT-side nearly perfectly. The Swedish-side was hunting a comeback and did a great attempt, but got denied and FURIA ended up taking the first map in convincing fashion.
On the second map of the series, FURIA continued their dominance. The Brazilian-side came out swinging with arT leading the charge, stepping up for his team, and delivering 23 frags to wrap up the series with a quick victory to give junior his dream debut.
