FURIA defeat Complexity 2-0
FURIA advance to the lower final of Group B
A sport in the lower final of Group B was at stake when FURIA locked horns with Complexity. Both teams are known for their fast-paced and inventive play style. Today, however, it was the Brazilians who proved themselves the better roster. Despite being a close and back and forth affair they managed to eliminate the side of Complexity with a 2-0 victory.
The first map took place on Mirage. The map was picked by Complexity but is by no means a map that is unfamiliar to FURIA. The Brazilians came flying out of the gate and secured a massive 12-3 lead at halftime. It seemed that the map of Mirage was over. This, however, wasn’t the case. Complexity sprung back and forced overtime with an impressive comeback. But unfortunately, it was all for nothing as FURIA managed to take home Mirage in overtime at the scoreline of 19-17.
The second map was chosen by FURIA and was set to take place on Inferno. With a fast-paced and aggressive t-side, FURIA piled the pressure on Complexity and managed a 10-5 halftime scoreline. The second half was no different and ultimately FURIA was able to close out Inferno 16-11 and thereby also the Bo3-series 2-0.
