First placed team in the world secure upper bracket final spot
The Danish team Astralis won against their Scandinavian rivals fnatic and sends them through the lower bracket.
Astralis will now await the winner of BIG vs. Vitality as they secured their spot at the DreamHack Open Fall upper bracket final after beating the Swedes from fnatic in the semi-final. The Danes are undefeated as they haven’t lost a single match in the tournament.
The 3 maps ended up being Inferno, Dust 2, and Overpass. Astralis took the first map on Inferno, fnatic’s map pick, and even though fnatic was able to keep up with Astralis in the first half, the Danes ended up closing the game 16-12. In the second map on Dust2, fnatic took control in most of the rounds and tied up the series 1-1, closing out the map 16-7. Going into the decider Overpass, Astralis went on with early dominance that resulted in a 16-7 win.
