es3tag on possible return to Astralis: I can’t reveal anything
People are starting to speculate about Patrick “es3tag” Hansen making a comeback to Astralis as his contract with Cloud9 soon expires.
After Nicolai “device” Reedtz slammed the door behind him at Astralis, the question remains whether the team can still turn the ship around.
It’s hard to see the Danish organization looking past their former player in Patrick “es3tag” Hansen, who is the final remnant of Cloud9’s failed project. The 25-year-old Dane played some of the best Counter-Strike of his career during his brief tenure with Astralis last year, but he’s not really a one-for-one replacement for the Danish AWPer.
A Danish news media called Tv2, asked Patrick “es3tag” Hansen if he could see himself make a comeback to his former team and he answered:
“Yes. I could. But let’s see what is going to happen. I can’t reveal anything,” es3tag told with a big smile on his face.
Instead of talking about his future with another team, es3tag explains what he wishes for after his turbulent tenure with the North American organization, Cloud9.
“It has to be some players that I can see myself being number one in the world with. And win a Major with. That’s the main goal. It also has to be an organization that has its base in Europe, where you can bootcamp and practice, so everything is not online. It’s not optimal to have headquarters in LA when you’re grounded in Denmark.”
