At the BLAST Premier Showdown EU 2022 event, eight sides will battle it out in a Bo3 format starting with the quarterfinals today!
Last year’s finalists, Gambit and G2, aren’t to be found this time around, but make no mistake, the eight teams who have made it this far will put up a great show for all CSGO fans.
ENCE vs. Copenhagen Flames Predictions
The Danes from Copenhagen Flames and Snappi’s troops from ENCE meet in the first quarter-final of the day at BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2022 Europe. If you look at the odds, ENCE are slight favorites, but we must not forget that the Danes can beat any time when they play their best game.
Three days ago, CPH Flames qualified for the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 by taking down Ninjas in Pyjamas 2-0. The victory was a true upset as the Danes were dismissed even before the game. For them to have overcome the odds to win against a team like NiP really showed their character. With the victory, Copenhagen Flames also secured themselves a Legends spot at the upcoming Major, meaning they will bypass the Challengers Stage of the tournament. The fact that CPH Flames have secured a Legend status despite not being in the Top 10 of HLTV’s Rankings shows exactly how much of an improvement they have made in the recent months. After a period of inconsistency and roster changes, CPH Flames seems like a team that is truly back on their way to take the CSGO world by storm.
If we take a look at ENCE, the team is in great form and the players have been filled with confidence ever since they won the ESL Pro League Season 15. Over the recent weeks, ENCE have beaten some of the best teams in the world and they are also qualified for the Major, unfortunately not the Legends Stage as a loss to Ninjas in Pyjamas denied them the opportunity to book a spot among the best teams.
ENCE have already lost to CPH Flames one time this season in the Pinnacle III event, so it’s fair to say that this matchup will be a difficult one for them. As the upcoming meeting will be held online, each side can end up taking the victory. However, it will all depend on the Map Veto. Our prediction is that the series will be a tough and close one between two teams who are ready to give everything to secure a spot in the semi-final. ENCE are eager to prove that their loss against NiP was just an aberration, while CPH Flames want to show the CSGO world that their phase of inconsistency is behind them.
This is also the reason why we believe the winner of the match will be found on the decider of the series.
