EG upset FURIA to go 2-0 up

One of the first big upsets at the RMR tournaments happened today with Evil Geniuses defeating Brazil’s biggest hope before the IEM Rio Major.

On Nuke Evil Geniuses had success shutting down FURIA and especially star player Kaike “kscerato” Cerato as the match unfolded on Nuke. It got really close in the end, but EG managed to deflect another clutch attempt from Rafael "saffee" Costa to seal the win. A huge scalp for EG, who are now just one win away from IEM Rio. FURIA and EG will be back on the server tomorrow for Day 2 in Sweden.
