dev1ce gives his opinion on the new AWP update
Find out what the Danish AWPer thinks about the new AWP update in CS:GO.
In Valve’s most recent update to CS:GO, the mighty green, CS:GO’s most popular sniper rifle, was nerfed after Valve decided to reduce its magazine size from ten bullets to five. This could very well change how CS:GO AWPers approach their game and playstyle moving forward.
As soon as the update got released, a lot of pro players were quick to say that they don’t expect the AWP nerf to play a big role in how the weapon is used, but device, one of the greatest AWPers of all time, stated in an interview with Dot Esports that most AWPers will have to follow some different protocol moving forward.
“In the beginning, I didn’t think it would have a big impact, but I do actually think it requires some practice to master the rotations with reloading and not giving away too much info on that or losing time rotating with the AWP out. But it’s going to be exciting to see how the other snipers deal with the update.”
The Danish AWPer will experience the new AWP with a reduced magazine size for the first time in officials in December when the $50.000 online tournament CCT North Europe Series Two begins. This event will also be his debut with Astralis after he made his comeback to the organization in late October.
