device: Ending the year on a high note like this feels unbelievable
Nicolai “device” Reedtz had himself a beastly performance in the last showdown of the year and was happy with the team’s performance.
Astralis powered through the Grand Final at IEM Global Challenge and claimed the last trophy of the year.
In a post-game interview, the Danish AWP’er stated that he is happy with his own and the team’s performance in the grand final to finish a turbulent year on a high note.
“We sure had our backs against the wall for a great deal of 2020. Ending the year on a high note like this feels unbelievable. It also makes us that much more excited for the next year. But with three grand finals in a row to end the year we do need some rest right now.” device said.
This was Astralis’ fourth title of the year: ESL One Road to Rio, Pro League S12, DreamHack Masters Winter, and now IEM Global Challenge.
As 2020 ends, 2021 begins. And the new year is off to anything but a slow start. The next tournament for Astralis is the BLAST Premier Global Final on January 18 where no less than $1.000.000 is up for grabs.
