Copenhagen Flames bench 23-year old rifler
maNkz is no longer an active player for the Danes, after having endured some tough performing months.
Copenhagen Flames has decided to remove Marcus "maNkz" Kjeldsen from their active roster, the Danish team has announced on Tuesday. The decision comes after the Danes recently have reached "new lows in our performance". The 23-year-old rifler has been a part of the team since the start of January this year, where maNkz has presented the following stats: 0.97 Rating / 67.9 ADR / -254 K/D Ratio.
- It’s with a heavy heart we’ve made the decision to place Marcus on the bench. I truly do believe that Marcus can become a top tier player but it was hard for him to evolve in that direction in the system we had.
We have had an incredibly tough time, underperforming the past 7 weeks or so, but especially hitting new lows in our performance the past week. However; we are under no illusion that Marcus was the sole cause of this performance and we will need to do a lot of things differently moving forward.
As of right now, we do not have a replacement ready but are working on identifying the right fit for us. We will update everyone as soon as we can. - Director of Esports at Copenhagen Flames, Daniel Vorborg explains.
Copenhagen Flames are now:
Jakob “Jabbi” Nygaard
Nico “nicoodoz” Tamjid
Asger “AcilioN” Grunnet Larsen
Magnus “Nodios” Olsen
