Confirmed: Astralis miss out on IEM Katowice
The Danes did not gather enough points to qualify for the qualifier.
After a rough ending to 2022, many Astralis fans were probably hoping to see the team back in action with Nicolai "device" Reedtz on board at IEM Katowice 2023. But the lack of results and the decision to cut both Kristian "k0nfig" Wienecke and Asger "farlig" Jensen from the team has plummeted the organization down in the rankings.
Astralis tried to repair the damage by playing in two minor online tournaments. Here the Danes failed to win any of them leaving them just outside of the teams invited for the Play-In stage.
24 teams are ready to compete at the event. Eight teams have been invited directly to the main event, while 16 teams will fight for eight spots.
