BIG edge out Entropiq in opening round
The Germans fought back in the second half to overcome the CIS team.
BIG versus Entropiq lived up to the predictions beforehand, that had marked the match as one of those, that would be very closely fought.
The CIS team has slowly established itself as one of the best outside of giants like NAVI and Gambit in the CIS region. Against BIG they proved once more, that they are able to do damage against the best. On Nuke it was Entropiq who launched their PGL Stockholm campaign best. A 9-6 lead at the break gave the Russians hope of a great start to the group stage, but during the second half, the CIS team lost momentum. With some questionable decisions regarding the economy game, Entropiq did not make things easier for themselves. Too many times it was up to AWP'er Aleksey "El1an" Gusev to make some magic happen for Entropiq, a tactic that simply was not enough to defeat BIG.
The German team is now 1-0 up and will face another 1-0 team later today, while Entropiq in a similar fashion will face a 0-1 team later today.
