Astralis join the 1-0 Group after defeating FURIA
The Danes kicked off the Legends Stage with a victory over arT and comapny.
gla1ve’s troops from Astralis have picked up their first victory in the Legends Stage after taking down FURIA on Inferno (16-10). The Danish squad will now join FaZe, Gambit, Entropiq, NAVI, G2, Virtus.pro, and NiP in the 1-0 pool. FURIA on the other hand, move to 0-1 pool alongside Vitality, CPH Flames, Heroic, Liquid, ENCE, and Evil Geniuses after losing their initial matches.
Astralis quickly made their presence felt on Inferno, where they confidently controlled the pace early on, and ran up a 5-1 lead. FURIA had a hard time finding openings, which resulted in the Brazilian squad only grabbing another four rounds, before Astralis ended the first half with a 10-5 advantage. In the second half, FURIA started off strong by taking the pistol and gained some momentum as they went on to lower their deficit to only two rounds. However, in the end, Astralis found ways to exploit FURIA’s CT-side weaknesses to end the game 16-10, with Xyp9x topping the scoreboard.
