Astralis escapes disaster and qualifies for RMR
In the last attempt, Astralis secured qualification for the upcoming RMR tournament for the Rio Major.
Astralis can breathe a sigh of relief after the Danes managed to secure qualification to the Rio RMR tournament.
The Danes started the day by taking care of the Polish roster from los kogutos, who previously had beaten Astralis in the last qualifier. This time around Benjamin 'blameF' Bremer wanted it different and dropped 30 kills to eliminate los kogutos 16-12 on Mirage.
Next up was BLUEJAYS from North Macedonia. This time the match unfolded on Inferno where it was Andreas 'Xyp9x' Højsleth's turn to step up. Astralis won the map 16-11 and could rejoice themselves in the fact, that the best of one matches was over.
The last opponent of the day was Illuminar from Poland. Ten hours after their match at BLAST Fall Groups, Astralis managed to take home a 2-0 win to seal the qualification and avoid a humiliating exit before the LAN qualifier for IEM Rio. Tomorrow the Danes are back in action both in BLAST Fall Groups and in the seeding matches towards the RMR tournament later this year.
