A 10-match win streak has elevated MOUZ into the position of the current best team in the world according to HLTV's weekly world ranking update.

This is the first time since the introduction of HLTV’s World Ranking in August 2015, that MOUZ finds themselves as the best team in the world.

MOUZ secured the spot after defeating Danil "donk" Kryshkovets and Team Spirit in the Grand Final of the BetBoom Dacha Belgrade 2024 tournament adding another win to their 2024 trophy cabinet. MOUZ is now undefeated in ten matches after going through ESL Pro League Season 19 flawless.

The most eye-catching thing about the current iteration of MOUZ is the cohesiveness of the roster, which can be seen in the stats of the players that are very evenly distributed.

Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás and MOUZ are ready for the playoffs stage at IEM Rio after defeating ENCE. We spoke with the Hungarian AWP'er after the match, where he commented on the prospect of playing at the Jeunesse Arena at the next stage of IEM Rio.

IEM Rio is developing into a slaughterhouse for pre-determined favorites. FaZe is down 0-2, and today both NAVI and Vitality were sent down to the 1-2 bracket.

Vitality lost in overtime against MOUZ. A very close match ended with a 19-17 victory for MOUZ in an overtime win that ended dramatically with dexter sticking to a bomb defuse in true Olofmeister fashion.

MOUZ are now 2-1 up, while Vitality is one step closer to elimination.

With a spectacular comeback, Team Liquid stole what seemed to be NAVI’s match to win. But a 12-3 lead in the first half for NAVI was not enough! On Ancient Team Liquid proved the CT meta to be real once again with a miracle comeback to win the match 16-14. Jonathan 'EliGE' Jablonowski played a monster second half going 20-7 in K-D to help his team to victory.

For NAVI it was especially Valeriy 'b1t' Vakhovskiy, who seemed to be off his game. The Ukrainian talent was picked apart in the second half.

Before the match between MOUZ and Team Vitality, much of the focus was on the AWP duel between Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaut and Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás with the latter being criticized for a lackluster event. Today the Hungarian answered back. While ZywOo kept his insanely high level in the match, the Frenchman had to deal with a well-playing torzsi on the server.

On Inferno, it was MOUZ and torzsi in control. Despite it being the map pick of Vitality, it was MOUZ who came out firing with a superb CT half leading 13-2. Vitality pushed back, but could not catch up on MOUZ who won the map 16-13.

Then ZywOo stepped up his game once again. On Mirage the Frenchman went 23-11 in K-D, and with his countryman apEX unleashed the two of them dismantled MOUZ, who had to give up their own map pick 8-16.

Vertigo was the last setting for the match. Again it was a ZywOo vs torzsi show, where both of them pushed the limits in order to win the match and qualify for Rio. In the end, ZywOo had better help from his teammates, and Vitality won the map and match 16-7.

MOUZ will get another chance tomorrow to qualify.

The hopes were high for the matchup between MOUZ and OG at the end of Day 1 at the RMR tournament in Malta.

Vertigo was set as the decider between the two teams, who are both in Malta to get their revenge after failing to qualify for the last Major in Antwerp. It was the new man on the roster for MOUZ, Dorian 'xertioN' Berman, who stole the spotlight with an impressive performance, especially in the second half on their T-side.

The difference was too big on the day to make the match competitive. A big scalp for MOUZ on an opening day, while OG will have to improve if they are going to take on the eight spots to the Major in Group B.

The word "onliners" is often used to describe players or teams, who have difficulties performing at LAN events in CS:GO. We have looked at the stats from 2022 to see which players has the biggest drop in performances from online to LAN. We have taken all players with a minimum of 10 maps on both LAN and online against top 30 opponents.

Since its release back in 2012, the game of CS:GO has changed very little in comparison to other e-sport games. Whilst this might be the case, plenty of different metas and strategies have seen the light of day as time as passed and the various teams have gotten even more in tune with what is working and what is perhaps not. 

One of the greatest ways to evolve and further strengthen your game as a CS:GO roster in the current meta, is by finding new ways of throwing and playing around utility. Star player of MOUZ "torzsi" proved that CS:GO is a game that can keep on evolving and that the devil is in the details. When facing Falcons in their opening match of Global Esports Tour Dubai 2022, the AWP'er threw an incredible one-way smoke from his own spawn - take a look. 

One of the things that can be very hard to train in CS:GO is the ability to clutch. Even though you might be mechanically gifted, it does not mean that you are also automatically good in clutch situations.

The clutch is a thinking man's game. While having good mechanics always helps, it is not always enough in 1vX situations. You need to have knowledge, experience, and great composure. You need to be patient, but decisive. And you need to be able to out-mindgame your opponents.

All of the guys on today's list have all of these qualities in abundance. They are of course also incredibly gifted players mechanically, but they are more than that. When their teams need them the most, and when every single eye in the arena is following their every movement, they come to life.

These are the five players with the most 1vX wins versus Top20 teams in 2022.

We are slowly but surely nearing a conclusion to the ongoing IEM Cologne 2022 event, with only eight teams left battling for a chance to lift the prestigious trophy in Cologne, Germany. Fighting for a chance to advance to the Quarter-finals were NiP and MOUZ in Group A of the event. Both teams have suffered a defeat so far in the Group Stage, however, with NiP taking down both Heroic and G2 along the way, the Scandinavians were the favorites going into the Bo3-series for survival. It was, however, the European roster of MOUZ to prove themselves as the stronger roster on the day. Going all three maps, it was ultimately MOUZ to prove the more resilient team and to claim victory against NiP, avoid elimination from the event, and secure a spot in the Quarter-finals. 

The first map of the Bo3-series was picked by MOUZ and saw the two teams climb the heights of Vertigo to kick things off. Vertigo has been a strong suit for "dexter" and his troops as of late and with a win-percentage of 70% in the past three months (10 maps), it is no surprise that the European roster of MOUZ opted for Vertigo as their map pick. Despite the numbers telling a different story, NiP proved that they themselves are more than capable on Vertigo once things got going. Starting on the favored CT-side of Vertigo, NiP posted a strong defense against MOUZ's offense. At the scoreline of 9-6, favoring NiP, the two teams switched sides. It was expected that MOUZ, as they have done in previous Bo3-series, would put up a stronger performance on their CT-side in the second half. This, however, wasn't the case. An aggressive offense from the Scandinavians, spearheaded by superstar "Brollan", was too much for MOUZ to handle at the scoreline of 16-9, NiP claimed victory. 

The second map of the brawl between NiP and MOUZ took place on Inferno and was, of course, picked by NiP. Whilst Inferno is known as the perfect third-map decider, it has been one of NiP's most picked maps as of recent times, and for a good reason. Carrying over the momentum from Vertigo, a strong start to the first half of Inferno was put up by NiP. Failing to silence the two Swedish star players in "Brollan" and "REZ", MOUZ had to see themselves behind at the scoreline of 9-6 before giving the T-side a go of their own. Whilst NiP are known for their strong CT-sides, the second half saw the Scandinavians in big trouble as "dexter" and his troops began piling on the pressure. Thanks to great mid-round calling from the Australian IGL and a cohesive roster behind him, MOUZ were able to close out Inferno at 16-12 after winning 10 rounds on their T-side. 

The third and final map of the Bo3-series was set to take place on Mirage. With momentum carrying over from the battle on Inferno, as well as a "torzsi" that can outright win games on his own accord if he is feeling himself on Mirage, it seemed as if MOUZ had the upper hand going into the deciding map of Mirage. It was also MOUZ, this time on their CT-side, to come flying out of the gate. Leaving NiP completely stunned on their offense, the European roster of MOUZ seemed unstoppable in the first half of Mirage and were able to close out their CT-side with a 12-3 lead. After having switched sides, NiP would have to put up an incredible comeback to have a chance at securing their life at IEM Cologne 2022. A comeback, however, never happened. Instead, it was MOUZ to finish what they had started in the first half and claim victory at the dominating scoreline of 16-3.

With Roobet Cup 2022 having just ended it is time to take a look at how the players at event managed to perform. BIG managed to take down FaZe in the Grand Final and became the champions of Roobet Cup 2022, however, there were plenty of players from various different teams that stood out in their brawls throughout the event, take a look at the top five players at Roobet Cup 2022 based on accumulative rating. 

Taking the number one spot when it comes to accumulative rating throughout the event is "sh1ro". You have probably gotten used to his name by now, and for good reason. Whilst Cloud 9 didn't make it to the Grand Finals it was by no means because of "sh1ro". The young and calculated AWP'er was not only the highest-rated player at the entire event but also managed to secure the highest kills pr. round at 0.89. Another phenomenal event from the shining star of Cloud 9.

You are probably thinking, I've heard this story, before to yourself and you are not wrong. Once again Astralis didn't manage to make it to the Grand Finals of an event, and once again "blameF" was the only player putting up an impressive performance for the iconic Astralis name. The hulk of Counter-Strike is as consistent as it gets, consistently good that is. In addition to his 1.33 rating, he was also the third-best player at the entire event at getting multi-kills.

What an amazing prospect this guy is. A year ago there were few people who knew the name "torzsi" and he has done more than enough to prove himself as of late. The Hungarian AWP'er shines brightly within the MOUZ roster and deserves a mention after an amazing performance at the Roobet Cup 2022. Playing an integral part in opening up rounds for his teammates, "torzsi" was the deadliest at getting opening kills at the event, with a scarily high success percentage of 78.4%.

Whilst he wasn't the player who accumulated the highest rating among all players at the event, it is safe to say that he was probably the most influential.  Securing a well-deserved MVP title was German sniper "syrsoN" who played an integral part in BIG's victory against FaZe in the Grand Final. When "syrsoN" is hitting his shots there is no opponent out there that does not get a run for their money against "syrsoN".

Finally, we have one of the most dangerous riflers in the entire CS:GO scene, "flameZ". OG have been showcasing to the entire world that they are capable of taking down even the biggest of opponents as of late, and a huge part of their success can be said to be because of "flameZ". Once again he played an amazing event scoring a high rating of 1.21 and remaining consistent throughout OG's battles.

MOUZ and ENCE faced off to determine the winner of Group C at Roobet Cup. It started out close but ended extremely one-sided.

The action started on MOUZ's pick of Mirage, where 'torzsi' and 'Bymas' stole the show very early on with a pair of immaculate and clutch quad kills. The hard-hitting duo would lead the team to a win in what was an extremely close game, partially due to an outstanding performance from 'dycha' on the ENCE's T side.

The second map of Nuke was anything but close. From start to finish it was a straight-up outclassing from ENCE that left MOUZ in the dust. 'dexter' and co. managed to pick up a round here and there, but it was never really convincing enough to put the ENCE victory in doubt.

ENCE continued their dominance on the deciding map of Overpass. 'Spinx', who had been surprisingly absent on the first two maps, was finally showing up and alongside him was 'hades'. The young duo's firepower in combination with 'Snappi' calling a good game led to an entirely one-sided win for ENCE on the final map of the series.

All the attending teams for IEM Dallas have been found following the conclusion of the European closed qualifier. The last two squads heading to Texas later this month will be MOUZ and the Russians from Entropiq.

That became a reality yesterday evening when both sides managed to defeat Johannes “tabseN” Wodarz and BIG in the Upper final and Consolidation final respectively. In the last deciding matchup between MOUZ and BIG, it was MOUZ’ promising AWPer Ádám “torzi” Torzsás who ended up being the difference-maker.

Here the 19-year-old Hungarian presented a 1.38 Rating / 59-36 K-D / 84.0 ADR throughout the series on Ancient (16-13) and Vertigo (19-17).

Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás is the real deal!

After the promotion from the academy team, the young MOUZ AWPer has proved himself against the very best in the game. The 19-year-old Hungarian haven't dominated the servers yet, however, he has still shown a very promising level so far. 

In yesterday's game against G2, torzsi managed to win this magnificent 1vs4 clutch - a play, we picked at today's #POTD.

The surprising win for MOUZ against G2 was inspired by the Hungarian sniper Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás, who found himself in a 1vs4 situation in overtime on Mirage. See the situation in the video below, where you can also see the ace from Fnatic's William "mezii" Merriman.

After a swift 2-0 win yesterday at Day 1 of ESL Pro League, G2 came down to earth with a 2-0 loss against MOUZ.

In-game leader Aleksi "Aleksib" Virolainen is still sidelined with a positive Covid-19 test, which seemed to have a big effect on today’s match. Nikola 'NiKo' Kovač is calling the shots instead, and while it is hard from the outside to judge the tactics made by the Bosnian, the biggest problem for G2 was NiKo’s lack of impact on the server as an individual.

On Nuke last year’s number three in the world was the statistically worst player on the map leaving young Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov to carry the team. MOUZ made the best from the situation and won Nuke 16-12 after a good performance Aurimas 'Bymas' Pipiras.

On G2’s map pick, Mirage, the story didn’t get much better for NiKo. The Bosnian was once again way off his normal standards having little to no impact in the first 20 rounds of the map. G2 still managed to hang on, and while Ádám 'torzsi' Torzsás was having a feast with his AWP for MOUZ, it was still all even at 15-15 taking the two teams to overtime.

Here MOUZ and Nathan 'NBK-' Schmitt turned up the heat to distance themselves from G2 in the end winning a surprising 2-0 win. Both teams are now 1-1 in Group A of ESL Pro League.

Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras haven’t played a single minute of competitive Counter-Strike since the start of December last year, where he and the MOUZ squad were handed an early exit at IEM Winter.

In the meantime, the German roster has been shaken up quite extensively with the arrivals of NBK, torzsi and the head coach, sycrone. The additions have meant that Bymas has moved into new roles and positions on the roster, the Lithuanian explained in a Twitter post.

- I am looking forward to finally playing the first officials with the new roster. Ever since the addition of NBK and torzsi, I’ve been put into lurk positions on the T side, and I’m feeling very confident with it, unlike in FaZe where I had no clue what I was doing most of the time. Still, a lot to learn though, Bymas wrote on Twitter.

The last two matches of the day and the last two chances to secure a spot at IEM Katowice had MOUZ going up against Entropiq, while NIP took on Movistar Riders.

The Bo3 started on MOUZ’s pick of Vertigo and saw the European squad take an early lead of 3-1 on their T-side. The Russians of Entropiq answered back fast, and soon the score was tied at 4-4. The rest of the half was extremely one-sided as stand-in “JDC”, and IGL “dexter” kept finding opening frags, which resulted in a satisfying 10-5 lead at halftime for MOUZ.

Entropiq torpedoed their way back into the map as soon as they hit the T-side, seven of the first eight rounds after the break, thereby taking back the lead. MOUZ threw a couple of different looks at the Russians, which netted them some early map control and frags, which saw them secure map point at 15-14. Entropiq weren’t able to push the map into overtime, and MOUZ take the map win after thirty rounds.

Down 0-1 in maps, Entropiq got off to a great 3-0 start on their map pick of Ancient. But the CT-side of Ancient can sometimes be very dominant, and that’s what MOUZ started showing after their bad start. It was once again “JDC” and “dexter” leading the way, with solid B-site holds, while “torzsi” also had a great performance on the AWP. This resulted in a ten-round win streak for MOUZ before the Russians were able to stop the streak and take the last two rounds for themselves.

The European squad continued their dominance in the second half and quickly found themselves at map- and match point, with nine rounds to close it out. Entropiq weren’t able to make the miracle comeback, and MOUZ steal the Russians’ map pick at 16-6.

MOUZ thereby secure their spot at IEM Katowice, while Entropiq will have to watch from the sidelines.

On the b-stream, we had NIP playing versus Movistar Riders, and it was the Swedes that came out on top after taking down the Spaniards in two maps. 

The action began on Movistar's pick of Vertigo where NIP were able to secure the win at 16-9. The stand-out performer was the always consistent IGL Hampus "hampus" Poser who greatly influenced the game with his impact. The score was dead-even at halftime at 8-7, but as soon as NIP hit the T-side they blew away the competition.

The second map of Overpass was even more lopsided than the first one, as the Swedes were able to win that at 16-6. Movistar Riders did start out best taking the lead 2-0 and 3-1, but after that, it was all downhill for them as the Ninjas mowed them down. Especially Patrick "es3tag" Hansen and Nicolas "Plopski" Gonzalez Zamora had a great game, which facilitated the extremely dominating win for the Swedes.

NIP thereby secured their spot at IEM Katowice, while Movistar Riders had to leave empty-handed.

Ádám "⁠torzsi⁠" Torzsás continued his promising start for his new team with a stellar performance. The 19-year-old AWPer has posted superstar numbers so far in the play-in. 

Despite facing a challenging FaZe roster, he managed to best everyone on the first map and was a big threat against FaZe in the BO3.

The first map started with MOUZ’s map pick of Nuke, and the German squad started well. Ádám "⁠torzsi⁠" Torzsás with a stellar performance to get the heavy lifting done, with the half ending 9-6 in the favor of MOUZ. They kept their momentum into their CT half as they only allowed FaZe a single round and quickly converted to a 16-7 victory.

The match continued on Inferno, where it was Twistzz and company who came alive. The Americans won the pistol and controlled the first half. Moving onto CT, FaZe picked up the first five rounds to get to 14-6 and eventually ended the map 16-10.

In the decider of Mirage, the first half went back-and-forth with both teams in the lead, ending 8-7 in the favor of MOUZ. Moving onto the T side, MOUZ won the pistol and converted before FaZe won seven in a row without conceding a single bomb plant. MOUZ did a tactical pause earned them three rounds to bring the score 14-14, but FaZe returned to close out the map 16-14 and the match 2-1.

The promising Hungarian Ádám "torzsi" Torzsás has been promoted to MOUZ’s main team, the German organization announce on Twitter this Monday. The 19-year-old gets the chance to play top-tier Counter-Strike after showing powerful forces for MOUZ NXT since his arrival in May 2021.

torzsi is set to take upon the important AWP-role on MOUZ, where the former Budapest Fire player will replace Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand. Following the news, MOUZ inform that acoR has been moved to the bench.
