junior becomes FURIA’s new AWPer
The Brazilian organization have announced the addition of former Triumph AWPer Paytyn “junior” Johnson.
FURIA have announced the signing of the 20-year-old AWPer junior as a replacement for Henrique “HEN1” Teles. The signing confirms the move that had reportedly been in the works since November and allegedly cost FURIA a transfer fee worth around $55.000.
The talented American completes FURIA’s line-up following the benching of HEN1, who decided to part ways and join up with his twin brother Lucas “LUCAS1” Teles in a new project with the former MIBR roster under Raphael “cogu” Camargo.
“Ever since FURIA moved to NA, they’ve been my favorite team on and off the server. I’ve looked up to their lineup, raw skill and supportive fans for a long time now. I couldn’t be happier to join them and make the Brazilian community proud.” junior wrote on Twitter.
The roster of FURIA now features five players again just days ahead of their campaign in the BLAST Premier Global Final with $1 million up for grabs, which kicks off on January 19, with junior and company set to face G2 in the opening round of the upper bracket.
FURIA’s lineup now:

Andrei “arT” Piovezan
Kaike “KSCERATO” Cerato
Vinicius “VINI” Figueiredo
