The Major in Brazil is less than two weeks away, and the only event that stands in between is the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown. Here, Heroic are currently preparing for their semi-final matchup against Sangal, which kicks off on Saturday at 16:30.
cadiaN’s troops arrived at the tournament in fine form with the Danish side sealing a Legends Stage spot at the RMR event. Heroic only lost one match being a bo1 against Outsiders, but managed to defeat ZywOo and company with a 2-1 scoreline and secure another victory over OG.
The BLAST Premier Fall Final in the massive Royal Arena in Copenhagen is a very important event for the Danish side, who will do everything in their power to secure a ticket, as they won’t get many other opportunities to play in front of a packed arena in their home country of Denmark. This could be an extra motivation for Heroic when clashing together with Sangal this Saturday for a spot in the Grand final of the Showdown.
So, what should we expect from Heroic at the IEM Rio Major? Well, the Danish side seemed unstoppable at moments in the RMR tournament, a team that’s even for the best, very hard to play against when they get their momentum going. However, Heroic still got much work to do as a team and they need to find a good balance between doing individual plays and really good teamwork. cadiaN and company are known for their confident playstyle and the acquisition of 19-year-old jabbi could be making a huge difference for them at the Major, but also in the long run. Considering that the Major is open pretty much for everyone, we at Pley.gg believe Heroic still have the power to make a lot of the teams struggle big time. That’s why we predict the Danish side to at least reach the quarter-final of the event.
Pley.gg prediction: Heroic to reach the quarter-final
