Heroic came close to defeat against TyLoo
The Danes had to work hard to claim their first win at the Stockholm Major.
TyLoo is one of the unknown entities at the PGL Stockholm Major. The Chinese team is a rare sight at the big European tournaments, which makes their presence at the PGL Major even more interesting.
Paired with Heroic in the opening round, the Chinese team was not expected to make a big fuss against the Danes. On Inferno, TyLoo got off to a rough start, with Heroic taking an 8-3 lead. But then Haowen "somebody" Xu started to heat up. The 26-year-old rifler was instrumental in the comeback, that saw TyLoo win seven rounds in a row. All of a sudden it was Heroic, who could feel the pressure of an early defeat in the Swiss group stage, that had already seen the likes of Astralis going 0-1.
But the Danes switched gears in the second half. On their T-side Heroic managed to find several gaps in the defense on the A-site, which saw the Danes storm through and gain control of the match again. It ended 16-12, but at times it looked like a nailbiter of a match.
Heroic and TyLoo will be back in action later today in the second round of the Swiss group stage.
