Furia defeated "The Colossus" once again
For the second time within few days, Furia won 2-1 against Cloud9.
Two days after their last rendezvous Cloud9 and Furia was back at it. The two teams fought for second place in Group C, which would guarantee a ticket to the playoffs.
Once again Nuke, Inferno and Train were picked as the battlegrounds. But unlike last time, Furia started by winning Cloud9’s map pick on Nuke.
Everything was set up for a quick 2-0 going to Furia’s choice of map, Inferno. But Cloud9 completely closed off both bombsites for Furia on their CT-side which ended 11-4. And even though the Brazilians showed a bit more on the T-side, it was too little too late to make any difference leading the match onto Train as the decider.
Here the two teams once again showed, that they in their current state are incredible even matched. But like their recent match, Furia had an X-factor. This time it was the in-game leader “arT” who was the difference between the two teams. The aggressive Brazilian ended Train with an incredible 32-13 K/D and secured his team a 16-10 victory.
