Benched MAD Lions player: I’m still hungry as ever to compete
roej affirms that his Counter-Strike career isn't over yet, even though having been benched on MAD Lions.
Mad Lions and Fredrik "roeJ" Jørgensen has had a tough beginning of the year, with the Danish roster being shred in pieces by one player departure after another. Two of them are Frederik “acoR” Gyldstrand and Rasmus “sjuush” Beck who decided to seek new CS:GO adventures at mousesports and Heroic.

acoR and sjuush were alongside roej the only three players remaining from the original Tricked roster which Mad Lions obtained back in December 2019. And Monday’s news confirming the benching of roej was the final nail in the coffin.

The experienced rifler isn’t young to the game anymore, but he assures that he’s still motivated and ready to compete on the highest stage once again.
- “I am still hungry as ever to compete and I know I have a lot to contribute for a team who wants to achieve big things in Counter-Strike” roej says in a statement on Twitter.
roej and the rest of the Danes' biggest title at MAD Lions were their triumph at the Flashpoint 1 ($500.000)
The former Tricked and Copenhagen Flames player also touches on the hectic and disappointment start of the year for him and MAD Lions, which has ended in a complete roster shakeup.
“With the start of 2021 we lost acoR as he wanted to pursue another team and we got in TMB. I felt like we were doing great in practice and I couldn't wait to see what we could do in official matches. But since our late start of the year because of roster changes, it sadly wasn't in the cards for us to get to play any official matches before ultimately sjuush and refrezh joining Heroic. I'm happy for them and I know they will do great in their new team. Though this change caused Mad Lions wanting to pursue an international lineup instead, which I'm not going to be part of and therefore I am now searching for new opportunities.”
