b0RUP sign with MAD Lions
MAD Lions have bought Johannes “b0RUP” Borup out of his contract with Heroic.
Johannes “b0RUP” Borup have been signed by MAD Lions, who have bought the Dane out of his contract with Heroic. Earlier this year, b0RUP was seen playing with HYENAS alongside Markus “Kjaerbye” Kjærbye, but after the retirement of the former Astralis player, the squad parted ways and left b0RUP’s future uncertain.
MAD Lions’ new Dane will help Thomas “TMB” Bundsbæk with leadership in the squad and will meet his new team in Madrid for a bootcamp to prepare for the final quarter of the year.
“From the beginning of this project, in the back of our heads we had a plan to bring an experienced player to the team who could complete it. With b0RUP, we believed to have found the perfect fit for that. At the start of this season, the role of IGL was taken over by TMB, hence our idea to bring a second high-profile Danish player to the squad to get a similar philosophy of the way we can play the game.
