Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer and his men from ENCE are just one step away from securing a spot in the Champions Stage at the IEM Rio Major, following an impressive 2-0 victory over Team Vitality that avoided them an exit from the event. This means that if ENCE win their next matchup which is tomorrow, they will lock in a spot in the top eight of the IEM Rio Major, where the likes of FURIA, Cloud9, Outsiders, and fnatic are already waiting.

After ENCE’s huge victory over the world’s No. 1 team in Team Vitality, Pley.gg caught up with ENCE’s captain, Marco “Snappi” Pfeiffer for a post-match interview, in which he did not just comment on the victory, but also the impact that Alvaro “SunPayus” had in their win. The 23-year-old Spaniard delivered an exceptional performance in the elimination match, which saw him finish on the top of the overall scoreboard with a 60-31 K/D and 1.51 Rating. Over the two maps, SunPayus also had an impact rating of 1.70, 27 AWP kills, and 15 Opening kills.

In the interview, the 32-year-old Danish in-game leader also revealed that giving the Spanish AWP’er fewer responsibilities in the future was a priority in order to fully utilize the talented sniper.

Everything looked good for Bad News Eagles after the Challengers Stage. The Balkan team had surprised everyone again and gone 3-0. But on Day 1 of the Legends Stage, Rigon 'rigoN' Gashi and his men have been disappointing.

Both Spirit and ENCE were not afraid of facing BNE on what was supposed to be their best map. On Ancient, ENCE dominated hard on their CT side winning the first half 12-3.

With Bad News Eagles' fantastic CT stats in mind, that could have been enough to at least push the game to overtime. But ENCE quickly found the last four rounds to close off the game winning 16-7. A big win for ENCE, who had started the day losing to FURIA.

Bad News Eagles are now left with best of three matches to try and qualify for the playoffs. Both teams are back in action tomorrow.

The ESL Challenger Rotterdam 2022 event began with a bo1 clash between ENCE and TeamOne, in which Maden and company from ENCE came out on top with a comfortable 16-5 victory to go up 1-0 in the group. It was clear to see that ENCE’s had built on the good form they showcased at the RMR’s where they secured a legend spot at the Rio Major with a 3-0 record. That means ENCE won’t have to participate in open qualifiers before the next Major.

The new-look ENCE squad featuring the two fresh additions of Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia and Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså has started to heat up. The European mix arrive at ESL Challenger Rotterdam with an impressive result in the bag from RMR, where they managed to secure a Legend spot at the Rio Major.

For valde speaking, the transfer to ENCE has meant a comeback for the Danish rifler who had not featured in an official match since April this year. In an interview with ESL, valde talks about his role in the team and how his new captain is placing a lot of responsibility on him.

- I think so yeah [valde said when asked if we’ll see him on his top level again]. I have some good roles in the team, and I know Snappi puts a lot of trust in me. Yeah obviously, I got to perform as well, but at the end of the day we are five individuals in the team, and I don’t think you’ll win any tournament if everyone is not performing.

- It’s a team game at the end of the day and we all got to put up our best individual level to win.

ENCE kicked off their ESL Challenger Rotterdam campaign with a convincing 16-5 victory over TeamOne in the opening round. Regarding their expectations to win the entire tournament, valde said the following. 

- I wouldn’t say it would be a big disappointment not to win the event, but obviously, we are here to win. Going 3-0 in the RMRs was a big deal for us after the ESL Pro League results. So I think it’s just about showing some good Counter-Strike and refining our game.

Day 4 of the European RMR is live with Bo3s all day. The first Bo3 was between ENCE and BIG who both were 2-0, which means that the winner will qualify for IEM Rio Major 2022.

Dust2, Nuke, and Mirage were the maps being left over in the veto. ENCE came off to a good start on Dust2 as they managed to force back on BIG´s pistol round win. ENCE managed to play some fast counterstrike which BIG found hard to counter. ENCE came up 12-3 on the CT side and closed the game 16-9 on the T side.

ENCE copied what they found successful within the first map. ENCE started Nuke by pressing the speeder to go 5-0 on the T side of Nuke. The first half has 8-7 in favor of ENCE. After an intense match on Nuke, ENCE took the victory 16-14 after a reasonable effort and a well-played T side for BIG.

ENCE got off to a fine start at the European RMR tournament with a 16-8 win against HEET in the opening round.

The new AWP'er on the team, Alvaro "SunPayus" Garcia performed excellently with a 1.47 rating during the match. After the win, in-game leader Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer told the desk at ESL how the integration of the new Sniper has been.

- SunPayus requires a lot more space which is a good thing because I want my AWP'er to roam around the map a lot. So we kind of had to find ways to integrate him moving around both on T and CT-sides wherever he wants.

On HLTV's Confirmed, Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer talked about who ENCE had set their eyes on at the start of the year, where the team had to find a replacement for Joonas "doto" Forss.

During the interview, Snappi was asked about the selection of their new fifth member of the roster.

- The different names was Josef "faveN" Baumann, Adam “NEOFRAG” Zouhar, Pavle "maden" Bošković, and Dion "FASHR" Derksen. Those were the four names that were in the discussion. Some of them were not possible. With NEOFRAG, SINNERS just denied him to go. faveN went to BIG. I am not really sure we had a priority list, but I am just happy that we ended up getting Maden in the end.

After Maden's entry on ENCE, the team had made deep runs in ESL Pro League Season 15, PGL Antwerp, and IEM Dallas, and is currently ranked third in the world.

ENCE has been one of the positive surprises of 2022 with good results, and Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer has been a key figure on the team. One thing, in particular, has been interesting to see. The economy game from ENCE is setting the standards of CS.

Yesterday’s thrilling conclusion to the group stage at IEM Dallas presented six decisive matches. Here ENCE and BIG managed to grab the favorable semifinal spots in front of FaZe and FURIA after two impressive performances.

Furthermore, did Cloud9 and G2 eliminate Vitality and Liquid in their respective lower final matchups. The results on Wednesday have given the following playoff bracket.

Eight days after the conclusion of PGL Major Antwerp, it's time to initiate the next top-tier tournament in IEM Dallas. The $250.000 event will take place over the Atlantic in Dallas, Texas, and features a star-studded lineup of teams. Despite Heroic, NAVI, and Entropiq all being unable to travel to the United States, there will still be superstar teams in FaZe, G2, ENCE present.

The opening round will work as a Best-of-1 format, which is set to kick off at 18:00 (CET) this Monday. 

ENCE will probably have to do without their star player Lotan “Spinx” Giladi for the upcoming IEM Dallas starting next week. As Snappi also said, the absence of Spinx will be a huge blow for ENCE with the 21-year-old rifler being their highest-rated player this year averaging a stellar 1.18 Rating. He has risen to the challenge alongside the rest of ENCE, who can see themselves among the very best teams in CS:GO right now. 

IEM Dallas will begin on Monday the 30th of May and features a star-studded lineup of teams from the very top of CS:GO.

Natus Vincere have just qualified for the Grand Final of the PGL Major 2022 in Antwerp after surpassing ENCE in the Semi-finals. Whilst it was by no means undeserved, it leaves ENCE with a bittersweet taste in their mouth after managing to prove to everyone that they are in fact a real contender and a scary opponent to face.

We talked with the Danish IGL of ENCE Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer about the recent loss as well as his thoughts on ENCE's performance at the event in its entirety. Unsurprising it was a disappointed "Snappi" that talked upon the fresh defeat, however, he expressed how content he was with how far he and his teammates have made it at the event:

Although stating that the huge crowd and Natus Vincere chants might have affected some of the ENCE players, the experienced IGL looks inward and accepts the fact that they simply didn't perform at the required level when facing the CIS giants: 

Whilst it is sad to see ENCE go out after their recent form, proving to everyone that they are in fact a contender for a tier-one title, it boats well for the upcoming future of ENCE. "Snappi" talks about how he sees ENCE improving and only getting better in the near future:

On the streets of Antwerp, we met with ENCE's Danish Captain, Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer to talk about his experience at the Major so far. 

- We are feeling good. I'm proud of the team. Inside our heads, the playoffs were a minimum. We didn't really want to say it beforehand because there were so many stages with the RMR, Challenger, and Legends Stage. But now we are here and we are satisfied with our performance so far. We went 3-1 in every stage, so I think we have been pretty convincing.

The in-game leader is currently preparing for a match against his fellow countrymen from Copenhagen Flames in the Quarter-Finals of this year's PGL Antwerp Major. A team that ENCE faced in the Legends Stage, where the Danes won. So is this a good or bad draw for ENCE?

- Flames are a good team. We have a good chance against them. In the best of one's they are like 14-1, so we are not the only team who lost to them. But we beat them in BLAST Showdown in a best of three, and I think we can do it here again. But they have been showing great CS and have been underrated for a long time. It is going to be a tough match, and we are definitely not underestimating them.  

If ENCE makes it through to the Semi-Finals, they could potentially be facing NAVI. A matchup that doesn't seem to scare the 31-year-old Dane, who has big confidence in his own team, when asked to nominate the favorites for the tournament right now.

- I think the favorites are obviously NAVI and FaZe, but think we have a really good shot at winning, Snappi explains.

ENCE will play Copenhagen Flames tomorrow at 16.30 (CEST) at the Antwerps Sportpaleis.

ENCE secured their spot at the Legends Stage after beating up the Kosovars of Bad News Eagles. ENCE were the massive favorites but it was not all fun and games for "Snappi" and co.

The brawl began on bNE's pick of Dust2, and early on, they were taught a lesson. ENCE, spearheaded by their leader "Snappi", outclassed the Kosovars in all aspects of the game. The only thing the Eagles had going for them was their impeccable aim, but that only got them three rounds in the first round.

After switching sides, the bNE squad had a massive resurgence. "gxx-" had come alive on the AWP and, in combination with "juanflatroo", and "rigoN", saw to it that the Eagles quickly equalized at 13-13. But the favorites of ENCE managed to come up clutch at the last moments of the map and steal the last three rounds away, and thereby the map.

bNE, on the CT side, found a good amount of success in the early stages of the second map of Nuke. "juanflatroo" was removing any attacker that came his way without exception. But with all of his teammates lagging behind individually, ENCE took the first half win at 9-6.

The Eagles won the second-half pistol round but did not find much more than that against the well-coordinated defense of ENCE.

Bad News Eagles will have another chance to qualify for the Legends Stage tomorrow, while ENCE can now relax.

A matchup of the favorites at the Challengers Stage was on the cards when the explosive ENCE ran into the patient Outsiders. Both teams had won their opening matches and were now looking to go flawless on day 1. The teams agreed that the brawl was to take place on Vertigo.

The first half was very even to start out with both teams going on small hot streaks and equalizing the score at 5-5. From that point on "dycha" and the terrorists of ENCE took over and overpowered Outsiders to the tune of 10-5 at halftime.

"Snappi" and co. kept on out-fragging the CIS squad and with a flurry of fast-paced rounds, they quickly dealt with the Outsiders and are now 2-0, while Outsiders have to work even harder as they move to the 1-1 bracket.

A spot in the Grand Final at ESL Pro League Season 15 once again underlined the positive trend, that ENCE has been on lately.

The Finnish Organization changed its direction at the start of 2021 when the Finnish core of players was switched out with an international lineup. Among the new players on the team was the Danish in-game leader Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer. Since then the Dane has been part of a team that has reached two Grand Finals and consistently been beating teams in the top 10 in the world.

So how can this be done with a lineup of relatively inexperienced players, who was not on the radar of any top teams just one year ago? One of the answers could be the style of play. Under the guidance of coach Eetu "sAw" Saha and in-game leader Marco "Snappi" Pfeiffer, ENCE has been one of the few teams in 2022 with a near 50% round wins on their T-side against the best opponents in the world (top 10 teams). Here one thing, in particular, has been interesting to see. The economy game of ENCE is challenging the normal standards of CS.

- I very rarely agree with what a lot of people are saying. When you look at the numbers, they will prove that the textbook way of thinking is very much wrong, the in-game leader of ENCE explains.

The different approach to one of the most aspects of the game is an advantage for ENCE according to the 31-year-old Dane.

It is an advantage for us, that we have good economic control, while other people think we are doing it as a brain-dead move, but it is definitely not that way.

ENCE are playing Copenhagen Flames at BLAST Spring Premier Showdown later today at 16.30 (CEST).

With Copenhagen Flames and Players (Gambit) having already secured a qualifying spot in the current PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Europe RMR B event, things are beginning to get intense and only six spots are left to be secured by the remaining teams at the event. One of these spots was going to be occupied by either ENCE or Anonymo as they were both sitting on a 2-1 record going into their brawl today. A victory from either team would mean instant qualification to the prestigious PGL Major and therefore everything was on the line when the two European rosters clashed. 

Adding to their impressive form of recent times, it was clear that ENCE were on another level than the Polish Anonymo boys. "Snappi" and his teammates managed to close out the Bo3-series in just two maps, after two confident victories on Overpass and Mirage. 

The first map of the Bo3-series between ENCE and Anonymo took place on the map of Overpass and was picked by ENCE. Whilst ENCE have proven themselves to be incredibly versatile on a variety of maps, Overpass is definitely one of their better maps in the official map pool, whereas it has been a weakpoint for Anonymo who are sitting on a 40% win rate in the past three months (10 maps). Once Overpass got underway, however, a close battle ensued. Trading rounds back and forth, things were as close as possible at the scoreline of 8-7 in the first half of Overpass. Whilst the first half had been close between the two teams, the second half was all ENCE. A phenomenal CT-sided performance from ENCE, led by star-rifler "Spinx", meant a confident victory on Overpass for ENCE at the scoreline of 16-9. 

The second map of the Bo3-series was picked by Anonymo and saw the brawl continue on Mirage. Whilst it is, undoubtedly, one of the stronger maps for the Polish roster, it is also a map that allows for some of the creative and aggressive approaches that "Snappi" is known for orchestrating to perfection. ENCE started as they had finished Overpass, with a great CT-sided hold. This time it was "Maden" to top the leaderboard and to help carry his team to a confident 10-5 lead at halftime. The second half showcased a versatile and aggressive ENCE offense breaking down the defense of Anonymo. At the scoreline of 16-10, it was ENCE to claim victory on Mirage and secure a ticket to the upcoming PGL Major in Antwerp.

PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Europe RMR B overview - HEET vs Entropiq (2-0) 

Whilst the brawl between ENCE and Anonymo was underway, another brawl took place over on the B-stream between HEET and Entropiq. Whereas ENCE and Anonymo found themselves fighting for a qualifying spot, the battle between HEET and Entropiq was to avoid elimination from the RMR event. 

The all-French HEET roster proved to be the stronger roster on the day. A masterclass performance from "afro" and "Djoko" saw the French HEET boys destroy Entropiq in just two maps. 

The 2-0 victory against Entropiq sees HEET avoid elimination and stay in contention for a possible spot at the PGL Major in Antwerp.

ESL Pro League is slowly but surely nearing its end as we are delving into the Quarter-finals of the event today. The first Quarter-final brawl was set to be a clash between the Spanish Movistar Riders and the European-international ENCE. Movistar Riders impressed everybody in the group stage after making an undefeated run in their group as the second team alongside NaVi. ENCE, however, have been no joke themselves so far in the ESL Pro League Season 15. A solid performance in their group, as well as a recent victory against fnatic in the playoffs, have more than proved their potential in the upcoming future. Just as one could have expected, the brawl between Movistar Riders and ENCE started as a close one on Mirage. The two maps following Mirage, however, were all ENCE. With confidence, it was ENCE that claimed a 2-1 victory and secured a spot in the Semi-finals. 

The first map was set to take place on Mirage and was picked by ENCE. With ENCE known for their aggressive T-sided approaches and strategies, Mirage seemed the perfect pick against Movistar Riders. Whilst this may be the case, Movistar Riders are themselves more than capable on Mirage which quickly proved once map one got underway. Very little separated the two teams from early on and the first half ended as close as possible at the scoreline of 8-7. After having switched sides the brawl ensued. Once again it was a thrilling and close affair between the two rosters. Whilst it was almost impossible to separate the two teams in terms of mechanical skill, it seemed as if "alex" and Movistar Riders' T-side had the upper hand when it came to reading their opponent. Thanks to great mid-round calling from the IGL of Movistar Riders, as well as a phenomenal performance from rifler "DeathZz", Movistar Riders managed to secure the victory on Mirage at the scoreline of 16-14. 

The second map of the series was picked by Movistar Riders and took place in the heights of Vertigo. Whilst the first map of the series was a close and two-sided affair, the same could not be said for Vertigo. A phenomenal defense from ENCE on their CT-side proved a nightmare for the Spaniards to break through from early on. Amazing reads, as well as impactful plays from the Danish IGL of ENCE in "Snappi", made sure that ENCE could secure a 13-2 lead going into the second half of Vertigo. A legendary comeback was required by Movistar Riders in order for them to have a slight chance in map two of the series, and it never came to fruition. At the dominant scoreline of 16-2, it was ENCE and "Snappi" to silence Movistar Riders and force a third and final map of the series. 

The third and final map of the series was set to take place on Nuke, a map that arguably favors the ENCE roster, seeing that they are currently sitting on a 91% win rate in the past three months (11 maps). It was also ENCE to hit the ground running on Nuke. Building on their momentum from Vertigo, ENCE managed to build an early 7-2 lead before being answered back by the Spaniards. At the halftime scoreline of 10-5, the Movistar Riders managed to stay in the game somewhat before switching sides. The second half started an oppressive offense from ENCE. With fast-paced executions, Movistar Riders were left behind by "Snappi" and his fellow Europeans. At the scoreline of 16-5, it was ENCE to claim Nuke and take home the Bo3-series against Movistar Riders. 

The 2-1 victory means that ENCE will advance to the Semi-finals of ESL Pro League Season 15 where they will meet the winner of NiP and Team Liquid.
