About a week ago it was announced by fnatic that they would be adding a new member to the roster on trial ahead of the now ongoing REPUBLEAGUE S3. The new member brought in to hopefully finalize the fnatic roster was Ludvig "HEAP" Alonso. The 22-year-old played for Team Dignitas up until the point of joining fnatic, although only on a trial basis as it currently stands.

The trial of "HEAP" is going incredibly well for the young Swede as fnatic went undefeated through the group stage and now find themselves in a Semi-finals position. More than just the collective success of fnatic at the event, "HEAP" has proven himself on multiple occasions with incredible highlights of his own. Here Fnatic will take on Into the Breach. An interesting matchup, where Fnatic will field their new trial player Ludvig "HEAP" Alonso alongside the revamped roster against their old AWP'er Owen "smooya" Butterfield, who is currently playing for the British team, Into the Breach.

Ludvig "HEAP" Alonso will get the chance to prove himself on the revitalized Fnatic roster at the upcoming tournament REPUBLEAGUE S3.

HEAP was recently benched alongside the entire Dignitas roster (and then released). The 22-year-old rifler has been practicing with Fnatic since May and will be playing his first match tomorrow with Fnatic against Into the Breach in Fnatic's opening match in Group B. 

The Swede played on Team Dignitas from 2020 until recently.

Dignitas have decided to make all of their players available for transfer effective immediately. The organization states that the results have not been what they expected from the squad and that missing the Major was the last nail in the coffin.

The team are not dismissing the thought of keeping some of the players.

One of the most anticipated matchups in the opening round of Blast Premier Fall Showdown was the Swedish – Bulgarian brawl between Team Dignitas and Team Fiend.

The two teams have for a while been sitting outside of the tier 1 scene trying to break in. Today’s match was an excellent opportunity for both to take a step closer.

Team Fiend started the match by picking into Mirage, while Dignitas chose Nuke. A repeat of their latest (and only) encounter, that ended with a Bulgarian victory.

This time around Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg wanted a different outcome. The legendary Swede showed that he has still got it. Team Fiend’s T-side was quickly shattered with f0rest in the center of the action. The 33-year-old former Major winner finished Fiend off with a solid +15 in K-D leading his team to a comfortable 16-9 win.

Dignitas selected Nuke as their map of choice. Here everything fell apart on their T-side. The Swedes had a huge mountain to climb after being trashed 13-2 in the first half. But then everything changed. In a game of good CT-sides, it was now Dignitas in command. All of a sudden the Swedes had in no time caught the Bulgarians, who could only stare into their screens in disbelief. Pivotal was again Patrik 'f0rest' Lindberg, who this time was joined by both Håkon 'hallzerk' Fjærli and Ludvig 'HEAP' Alonso in making the impossible possible. Team Dignitas won 14 rounds in a row to eliminate Team Fiend from BLAST Premier Fall Showdown.

Team Dignitas will face Heroic in the Quarter-Finals on Friday.

LOOT.BET Season 9 featured today a fierce matchup between the two strong competitors in ENCE vs Dignitas. Two teams that both are trying to clinch a spot at the tier-1 scene, where all the biggest superstars are placed. 

The match ended up being a completely one-sided affair, with the Finns from ENCE dominating the server from the very beginning. Despite losing the match, Ludvig "HEAP" Alonso from Dignitas had undoubtedly the best play of the day, as he ripped ENCE apart with this stellar 1v4 clutch.

Funspark ULTI - The tournament of upsets. That could be the tagline of the event, that saw another underdog victory today.

Extra Salt made it happen after two clean maps against Team Dignitas.

Having just defeated two other NA teams (Team Liquid and Evil Geniuses) on Vertigo, the Swedes picked into the map, where Extra Salt has a 100% win rate. This did not change today. Josh 'oSee' Ohm and the rest of the Extra Salt roster shut down the T-side from Dignitas in a very convincing first half. The 11-4 lead was too much for Dignitas to recover from in the second half. Extra Salt took Vertigo 16-9.

Train started similarly. This time it was Extra Salt's offense that created huge problems for the Swedes. Dignitas lacked the firepower from their young player Ludvig 'HEAP' Alonso, who had a bad day on the office on both maps. It ended with a 16-10 win for Extra Salt, who is now ready for the Upper Final at Funspark ULTI.

The Swedish team from Dignitas is after a tough 2020 season beginning to show their true colours, as they now look like an established Top 30 team. The renowned organization seem to have found the right mix, concerning the roster and the roles within the team.

A huge reason for the reformation must be the signing of the profiled rifler Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson, but also the revelation of the young and talented Ludvig "HEAP" Alonso. The 21-year old Swede has alongside Lekr0 played some thrilling Counter-Strike lately, which most recently resulted in an upset victory against the North American super team in Liquid.

HEAP has throughout the last month averaged a strong 1.10 Rating / 76.3 ADR / 68.3% Headshot Percentage. Something, he believes owes to the fact that he feels more confident and comfortable on the roster. In an interview with Dignitas, the promising rifler reflects on his first 6-month on the team, and how he has developed so far.

- I am way more confident in my own plays, I can now do plays I want to do myself. Before I was way more passive and just adapting to everyone else. Nowadays, I feel way more confident in doing my own thing, I ask to do plays that allow me to progress in the round. Overall, I'm feeling way better!

I think I'm finally able to show everyone my true "me" as a player compared to earlier when I joined the team. We're practising every day against the best players in the world, meaning that I literally have to grow as a player to be able to keep up with the level of CS practised.

There have been some surprising results, with the sensation from 9z beating, they will have to create an even bigger sensation on Saturday as they take on the newly crowned winners of the ESL Pro League, Heroic.

Another surprising result was that Astralis got beaten 2-0 by OG, also a result that there weren’t many who had seen coming.

The upcoming Swedish talent from Dignitas has become better and better, and in the pley of the day he managed to pull his team out of a difficult situation. The lurker kills four opponents with three of them being headshots.

Nuke was the first map chosen by Dignitas, which was a wise decision from the Swedish organization as they demolished Team Liquid on Nuke. All the Dignitas roster was playing at a top-level, and they cemented their domination as they kept all the Liquid players from having a K/d over 1.00.

Especially HEAP and Lekr0 were playing on the top of their game at Nuke, when Ludvig “HEAP” Alonso had a rating at 1,63, and Jonas “Lekr0” Olofsson with a rating of 1.53, when Dignitas won 16-5 on Nuke.

In the second map at Vertigo it was closer, but yet again with HEAP and Lekr0 as the top players on the map, the Swedish superstar was the best player today when Dignitas moved on to the Quarter-finals of the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown 2021.

The last time the two teams met was in another grand finale, an occasion where Dignitas outplayed the HAVU team, but today are HAVU favorites.

The Swedish organization was on fire in the last clash, especially HEAP was demolishing the Finish roster, he was playing at a rating of 1.42 in the last game, if the Swedish roster hopes to recreate the success, they will need a big game from him again.

The Swedes from Dignitas are now ready to compete in the Showdown event that begins in just 16 days following a confident victory over HAVU in the Grand final of Nordic Masters Spring. The Showdown event will run from April 13 – April 18 with $162.500 up for grabs and tickets to the BLAST Premier Spring Final for the two teams that make it to the grand final.

Dignitas announced in mid-October, that Ludvig “HEAP” Alonso was the fifth and last member of the legendary roster, consisting big names as the former major winners f0rest and friberg. HEAP, on the other hand, is a young and talented player, who weren’t known by the majority of the community, before signing for Dignitas.

HEAP has given an interview with Dignitas, describing his beginning at the Swedish team and how the transfer was a bit unconventional. The 20-year old player explains that he was very surprised when Dignitas contacted him on the huge esports platform called FACEIT.

“I was actually playing with my friends on a FACEIT stack and I got a friend request from vENdetta, Dignitas coach. I accepted him and he asked me if I wanted to play some FACEIT pugs with the Dignitas guys, and of course, I said yes! We played a few games, just played them normally like I always do and they said they wanted to try and play with me the next day, in real Practices. And yeah, we played some more days, got the offer, got the contract, and here we are!”

“I knew who vENdetta was, so I was somehow expecting them to ask me questions, but I didn't expect to be playing right away... I mean, it's not normal for a coach to add you randomly!”
