THREAT to resign as NIP head coach after IEM Winter
The 33-year-old coach’s time at NIP is not done yet, as he will transition into being Technical Director.
The upcoming IEM Winter 2021 will be Björn “THREAT” Pers’ last tournament as the head coach of NIP, the Swede has publicised on Twitter this Wednesday. In the future, the former Counter-Strike 1.6 player has informed that he will take on the role as Technical Director in the iconic organization.
- Some exciting news: IEM Winter is my last event as Head Coach as I'll move into a role as Technical Director of all our CS efforts. While I love being onstage with the guys, I love even more to get really stuck into the tactical stuff and seeing my plans unfold on the server, THREAT wrote on Twitter and continues:
-Me and Danny “mahone” Hsieh (NIP analyst) will continue to work day and night to develop the game plan while the new Head Coach will keep the boys focused on the game and making sure we deliver when it matters the most.
There hasn’t been any news or confirmation about who NIP will appoint as their new head coach in the future.
THREAT and NIP will play their first match at IEM Winter when they clash together with Astralis in a thrilling Scandinavian battle at 12:00 (CET) this Thursday. Watch it here on Pley!
