Richard Lewis: "Device is a master"
The renowned CS:GO expert and former commentator reviews the NiP vs Liquid Bo3-series
NiP is a team and organization with a crazy history within the professional Counter-Strike scene. Starting their journey with a roster that defined an era and had players such as Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg and Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund as just some of the big names, the Swedish Ninjas in Pyjamas have experienced the absolute top of Counter-Strike. However, since the "golden boys" from NiP retired, or in "f0rest" case moved to a different team, they have experienced an all-time low for the Swedish organization. At least until they brought in one of the best players in the world in Nicolai "device" Reedtz.
The addition of Nicolai "device" Reedtz has not only meant a world-class AWP'er, but also a new spark in the NiP camp. It seems that "device" has brought with him, not only his incredible skill set but also a newfound belief within the NiP camp that they can reach the top of the professional CS:GO scene once again. NiP are currently participating in the IEM Cologne 2021 event where they have won three out of four matches as it currently stands. CS:GO expert Richard Lewis points to the addition of "device" as the reason for their newfound success back at LAN and states:
"I think that device proves that when we are back to LAN there is almost no one more consistent than this guy. He has had such a stressful time getting into NiP, some of it has been his own doing, he has tweeted some silly things, said some silly things, but device is a master. He is one of those guys where there have always been one or two players overshadowing him in terms of individual skill. But in terms of consistency, throughout the whole history of CS:GO, there has been no one better than device."
NiP are set to fight for their event-life in the lower bracket semi-finals of the IEM Cologne 2021 event later today against the Virtus.pro roster. You can watch the Bo3-series LIVE at 20.00 (CEST) right here:
