The former ENCE coach Slaava "⁠Twista⁠" Räsänen has been hired as the new head coach of the Chinese Organization Rare Atom.

On the team, he will be joined by a fellow Finn Petteri "⁠peku⁠" Jaakkola, who will join the team as an assistant coach. The two Finns are so far the only signings on Rare Atom who is currently without any players after Yang "JamYoung" Yi and the rest of the former Atom Rare lineup departed the organization in August. They are currently playing at ESL Pro League under the name 5yclone.

NAVI started out by beating Team Spirit 16-14, 16-7. A good performance from the entire NAVI roster who looked solid. On both Anubis and Nuke it was the T-side of NAVI that made the difference. NAVI is through to the playoffs with the victory, while Team Spirit drops down to the Last Chance Stage, where they will face Astralis once again.

In the last match of the day Rare Atom was tasked with trying to repeat their opening victory against Team Liquid. But this time around the NA team came much better prepared. With a 16-7, 16-5 victory, they underlined the difference that was expected to be between the two teams. Latvian star Mareks 'YEKINDAR' Gaļinskis delivered a superb performance in the match that gives Liquid the opportunity to qualify for the playoffs tomorrow when they face the winner of Astralis vs Team Spirit.

Natus Vincere secured their second win at the event after winning 2-1 over Rare Atom in a Group D lower bracket semi-final. Following the victory, Rare Atom will play for survival in the Group D Last Chance Stage.

Starting things off on Inferno, NAVI came out best after the first round as they won the first pistol round of the game. However, Rare Atom bounced back on the force buy and took six out of seven rounds in a row to gain a 6-5 lead in the early stages of the game. Natus Vincere closed out the half winning four rounds to win the half 9-6. Switching sides, once again were Natus Vincere the team to win the pistol round. But, Rare Atom played well on the CT side and despite Natus Vincere reaching 15 first, Rare Atom made the comeback and secured overtime. With 34 kills to his name, electroNic saw his team fumble the game towards the end. Rare Atom won the first map 19-17 to give the match the shock start it needed for excitement. Next up, Nuke. On their own map pick, Natus Vincere dominated the Chinese roster. An 11-4 half in favor of Natus Vincere was quick to be closed as all five players of NAVI played well on the second map. Moving to the CT side, NAVI kept on pressing the speeder and secured the second map after winning five straight to win Nuke 16-4. 

To decide the series, Overpass was the map to be played. With the momentum in their favor, NAVI dismantled Rare Atom in the early stages of the map. Winning nine out of ten rounds on the CT side, Natus Vincere looked unstoppable before Rare Atom bounced back and won five in a row. The first half ended 9-6 in favor of NAVI. 

On the T side, b1t took his team on his back. With 21 kills - 106.2 ADR and a 1.69 Rating, Rare Atom was left with no chance. Natus Vincere won the map 16-7 and the series 2-1.

The third day of ESL Pro League Season Group D 17 is about to begin.

All teams are still alive in the group, but two teams will be moving down to the Last Chance Stage. Today's matches are two Group D lower bracket semi-finals, where the losing team goes to Group D Last Chance Stage. The first game kicks off at 16:00 (CET), with Spirit taking on Liquid in a match to avoid the Last Chance Stage. 

The second game of the day is Natus Vincere against Rare Atom at 19:30 (CET). Similar to the first match, the loser will drop down to the Last Chance Stage.

ENCE is ready to face the world's best in the playoffs at EPL S17. The mixed European roster took an important win over Rare Atom to secure themselves a spot in the playoffs. What looked like a walk in the park for ENCE on paper could have ended in yet another upset as Rare Atom managed to pull off an insane upset against team liquid in yesterday's opening matches. However, ENCE made it look easy as they controlled the game from the very start.

The first map of the series ended with an ENCE victory as they destroyed Rare Atom on the CT side.

As ENCE´s new rifler NertZ kept playing light outs, Rare Atom found it hard to push through the ENCE defense. ENCE won the first half 12-3. Needing only four rounds on the T side ENCE were quick to close out the game as they secured themselves four rounds in a row to close out the map one 16-3. 

Up next, Nuke. This time, Rare Atom was the team to come out pressing the speeder to the absolute maks. The Chinese team gained a 5-0 lead during the early stages of the game. However, ENCE fought their way back on the weaker T side as they won the last eight out of teen rounds to win the half 8-7. 

Despite Rare Atom winning the second pistol round of the game, ENCE was the team to close out the map on the CT side. Once again ENCE saw their newest edition to the team NertZ dominates his opponents.

During the ESL Pro League S17, YEKINDAR and co. took upon Rare Atom in their opening match. 

Starting the series off on Inferno, Rare Atom gained themselves an impressive 11-6 lead over the world's third-best team according to the HLTV World Ranking list. Despite Rare Atom being close to pulling off an impressive upset against Liquid, YEKINDAR took the headlines on the first map. 

Alone against four and with the bomb planted, YEKINDAR had to do the impossible to keep his team in the game. With four players of Rare Atom alive and only YEKINDAR left, the Liquid rifler took things into his own hands as he managed to take down all four players of Rare Atom to secure his team their seventh round of the game.

Rare Atom secured their first win at the event after winning 2-0 over Liquid in the opening match. The currently third-best team in the world stood no chance against the better team from Rare Atom who dominated the Liquid over two maps.

Starting things off on Inferno, Rare Atom came out pressing the speeder to the absolute limit as they controlled the game in every aspect. With a 9-6 half in favor of Rare Atom. The Chinese roster only needed seven rounds on the favored CT side to close out map one. Despite Liquid trying their best to make the comeback, Rare Atom led by Kaze was quick to close out the game on the CT side. Rate Atom won Inferno 16-11.

On Overpass, it's fair to say that Liquid got demolished. A quick match that only took Rare Atom half an hour to secure their first win of the event. With all five players of Rare Atom playing great CS, Liquid saw things get out of hand as they only managed to get three rounds in total. Rare Atom won Overpass 16-3.

It was a fight for a Grand-Final spot when Outsiders and Rare Atom took the stage in Valencia. Rare Atom put up a great fight, but in the end, the experienced Outsiders squad perseviered.

The semi-final kicked off on Rare Atom's pick of Inferno, and the 21-year-old 'Mercury' seemed very satisfied with that pick. The Chinese rifler was leading the map in most statistics and with his AWPer 'Kaze' in tow, he managed to make a real game of it. The favorites of the Outsiders were a step ahead as a team though and took away their opponents' map pick semi-comfortably at 16-12.

'Mercury' continued his domination on the second map of Vertigo where he found 14 kills before going down. He was winning basically every fight he took, and when he faltered 'Kaze' was there to pick up the slack. This amazing performance fueled Rare Atom to an 11-4 CT-side half where the Outsiders were almost only finding rounds if 'FL1T' was popping off.

After the impressive first half, Rare Atom got battered and bruised in the second. Outsiders both individually and as a team were far stronger than their opponents and were able to make the massive comeback happen.

Perhaps you have not heard about them yet, but it is time to get familiar. The Chinese CS:GO roster of Rare Atom are slowly but surely proving themselves within the professional CS:GO scene and against tougher and tougher opponents. Having just secured a spot in the Semi-finals of ESL Challenger in Valencia, Spain, today, the Rare Atom roster are beginning to make their mark on the scene. 

One of the reasons for their success at the ongoing mini-event that is ESL Challenger 2022, goes by the name of "JamYoung". The 20-year-old Rare Atom player from China can be deadly if you get in his way. When Rare Atom faced HUMMER in a Bo3-series, he proved exactly how crazy his abilities are. Left alone in a 1v3 situation, "JamYoung" tucks himself into a corner, pops up at just the right time, and controls a spectacular spraydown of all three opponents without hesitation - take a look:

The mini-event that is ESL Challenger 2022 in Valencia, Spain is nearing a conclusion as there will only be four teams left competing to be the champions of the event after today's Bo3-series. One of these brawl were between Rare Atom and MIBR. On paper, the Brazilians of MIBR were the heavy favorites, ranking 30 places higher in HLTV's official rankings than Rare Atom.

Whilst it might be MIBR who rank higher in the rankings, a different story unfolded as the two locked horns in a battle for a spot in tomorrow's Semi-finals. A confident victory on Inferno, followed by a marathon length battle on Overpass saw the Chinese roster take home the victory against MIBR. The 2-0 victory means that Rare Atom will be facing Outsiders tomorrow in a Semi-final brawl for a spot in the Grand Final.

ESL Challenger Valencia was kicked off Friday with MIBR taking on Rare Atom from China. On Overpass MIBR won 16-12 in a match, where the Brazilians at times looked shaky. A good T-side in the second half was enough though to secure the expected victory.

The next two teams in the mix were Hummer Esports and Movistar Riders. Unfortunately, there was only one team the server during the match. Movistar Riders went wild during the first half winning ALL 15 rounds with Alejandro "ALEX" Masanet Candela leading the assault going 26-6 during the 15 rounds! The Spaniards won the pistol round in the second half to complete the humiliation of their Brazilian counterparts. A perfect start for the roster on home turf.
