NIP is 1-0 at Legends Stage after brilliant first half
The only Swedish team at PGL Stockholm got off to a good start.
All eyes were on the Swedes from Ninjas in Pyjamas, who are on a mission to win the PGL Major on home turf in Stockholm.
In the first match of the tournament, NIP played a very solid match against MOUZ. The Swedish Ninjas dominated the first half leading 12-3 at the break. The four-time Major winner Nicolai "dev1ce" Reedtz was on the top of his game leaving no doubt, that the Danish AWP'er has set his eyes on the big prize in Stockholm.
After a disappointing first half from MOUZ, the international roster came out revitalized on their CT side. They won the pistol round and then followed up winning the next five rounds before NIP found an answer. It was especially on the B-bombsite, that NIP found trouble in David "frozen" Čerňanský, who found some excellent positions to deny NIP.
The pressure began to amount on the Swedish favorites, who could see their lead disappearing round after round. At 12-14 NIP finally broke through on the B-site to get a plant, which gave them three match points. Ninjas in Pyjamas converted on their first try and sealed the match. NIP and MOUZ are back in action later today in round two of the Legends Stage.
